The last gig we did was a concert doing all my "original" material. We got payed $800 dollars for a 50 minute set. We sold over 700 rehearsal CDs at$3 profit. We Sold every tee shirt we had,300, at $4 dollars profit, AND WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO ADVERTISE BECAUSE OF PARKING PROBLEMS.
MMM 800+2100+1200= 4100. FOURTY ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS for a fifty minute set. Can you do the math while you are busy telling me to get a life!
ALL the money was donated to A.L.S ,, the reason my bass player died 6 months later.
Dont tell me to get a life ,your the one doing cover material and telling other people to wake up

So, basically, you're saying that you haven't played in well over 6 months, since that was your last gig, right? How long are you gonna sit on those laurels, with all that money to be made?

I've been watching your little tirades in here for awhile, with RM & now JW, & I'm wondering if maybe you do need to get a life. You don't seem to be making any headway by trying to control other ppl's opinions or personal decisions...

Really, gi, if the best you can do is to rail helplessly at ppl you disagree with, why don't you get back out there & show us all how it's done, eh? Teach by example or STFU, Mr Big-gig. Your bragging is old, & your inability to keep things at a normal conversational tone are even worse. Cut the caps, lad. They don't impress. You'll look far more intelligent if you learn better language skills, too. And you might try learning to "live & let live," as well. Just a suggestion...wouldn't wanna control you or anything...

Funny when you play well enough, no one seems to notice at the show. I wonder why that is.. Oh yeah, it's cause YOU CAN PLAY!!!

I played last night in PA at an open mic. I played a little thing I like to do, Strange Brew>>>Red House>>>Ice Cream man, segued one to the next.
I got an offer to come back next month for 2 small paid shows.
No one even commented on my attire, as I looked like I just changed a tire in the rain (cause I did)

These fellows came in with long hair and I was relieved when they played like mud.

PHILBY, Did you know, that if two people say a stupid thing it is still a stupid thing. You try to pull up a post I made,that was in anyway negative about you or your playing....... YOU wont so don't waste your time. SO don't jump on somebody elses band wagon. All it takes is a couple guys like WRITER to screw up a good website, Your a good player don't become one of those writer type guys.

Wow, I must have missed something. I have been having so much fun with Stringdancer. Both you guy's seem like really nice people and great musicians. I don't mean to stick my nose where it don't belong but. Somewhere along the way you guy's got crossways with each other and I admire you both.

Look, gi, while it may be true that I don't have a personal beef with you, I don't like it when I see you hanging onto RM or JW like a pit bull that won't let go, over a simple difference of opinion. Once you state yer case, sometimes it's best to let it go when someone decides not to take your advice.

Perhaps I should have left this one alone, as I like everyone involved, but I figgered you could use being told that you're goingly too far...

Frankly, it looked to me (& to JW, evidently, though I hesitate to speak for him) that you were being a bit overbearing with RM.

This thread looks like something Writer/PhillyCool/weirdo guy would have posted, & I decided to put my .02 in to let you know how I feel about this sorta thing.

If you don't like this sorta response, my advice is to just let things drop, sometimes, even if you (think you) are right. I can certainly understand RM's determination to hold onto what's his, as well as JW's post that told you to back up & back off. My own post above is simply another, less friendly way of saying the same thing.

You gotta remember that o/l relationships are like dog years...1 = 7...so I've known both of these guys over 7 dog years. Am I rambling again? Well...that's just my way of making some sort of peace...I think...

Carry on, my man. No real hard feelings here, but those of us who've been here a year or more can be a little touchy about ppl picking on or nagging or whatever it was you were doing, to our o/l friends.

When are you going to grow some balls and become a real man instead of the snotnosed wanna be that you are. Post some music on your site so we can tell you how much you suck. Oh but wait I invited you to do that months ago and you even admitted that you aren't man enough to put your music up. As I said yesterday it takes a real special type of character to be the outsider and loner heckeling a bunch of musicians
(of which you are not). You kind of remind me of that fan that was heckeling Ron Artest from the stands and finally he got tired of it and went up into the stands and kicked that fans ass. Go back to your menial little job and your dreams of grandure. A lot of us on here probably make more money in our side jobs (music) than you do in your menial little wanna be career. People pay us no talent as you call us lots of money to sing and play our instruments so that proves to me that you are full of the stuff you are made of shyt.
