He is 86 years old, been in great health for DECADES. This thing (I still don't know what it is) hit him like a ton of bricks. He's been a workaholic his entire life. To be unable to do anything has got to be the worst nightmare for him. He's getting daily visits from my mother and sister (I'm going to Florida all next week). He's also getting rehab visits every day. It's going to take weeks if not months for him to get back home.

I'll say prayers for you, and him. What his name and what kind of work did he do?

His name is Monte. He spent almost his entire career as a business consultant. One of the companies he worked for was Allied Chemical which owns very many companies. If one of those companies was losing money my father would spend time there studying their organization and advise them to make various changes to right themselves. Basically he brought fresh new vision to people who couldn't see the forest for the trees. He saved numerous companies many millions of dollars over the years. It's a shame somebody like him couldn't right the American economy. I'm sure he could do it quite easily. Obama would be wise to visit him and soak up whatever knowledge my father has while he's still alive...

I hear ya Bob we can use all the help we can get right now. Wow sounds like Monte is quite the mover. It seems as soon as we figure out what we're doin here its time to leave. I'll probably be atround till I'm 250, I have a hard time figuring what to eat for breakfast nevermind dealing with million dollar corps. Thanks a lot Bob for letting me in. All the best to you and your entire clan. And have a safe trip down to Fl. ray

I'm leaving first thing tomorrow morning (6/23). I'm not much of a traveler. I'd rather stay here and fish in my free time (got a bad sunburn this last time though). I'm going to rally the troops. My father told me he wasn't getting out of the hospital alive. I told him otherwise. Now he's in the rehab clinic (nursing home). He's going to tell me he's not making it out of there. I'm telling him otherwise. A few years ago we talked about writing a book together. I'm going to present him with that proposition again. I'll get him a PC (he doesn't have one) so we can colaborate on-line and get the book done. It'll give him another motivation to work himself out of the rehab clinic and get back home....
