Band Status

Well lads, not that any of you give a rip, but to keep you in the loop ANYWAY, I did hold that first practice to see what it was like to put my wife's tunes to a traditional 4 piece band.
It didn't really work.
Despite having very accomplished drummer & bassist, we decided that that particular band setup did not serve the music well.

So, we're scaling back to maybe just her, myself on pipes/whistle & we'll add a guitarist/bassist and maybe try playing out as a threesome.

Her 2nd CD is now all recorded, and is being mixed very soon.
Hopefully, we'll have it mastered & ready for distribution within 3 weeks.

cheers lads!

Well, at least you tried. To bad really I would like to have heard what the traditional 4 piece could do with her music.
In a simular situation we made an attempt to arrange some of our music into an unplugged set. This also just did not feel right, so we put that project on the back burner for now.

Best of luck Rich!

actually I dig non typical line up's. I played a show as a 2 piece once in Columbus after we had to drop the guitarist. It was just me on bass & vox and the drummer. I played through 2 amp's anyway so I just put some distortion on one of em. they ate it up, and so did I.

try anything.. ya just never know!
good luck accommodating her work. cant wait to hear it!
