Davo, formerly of Longveiw, says hello to Sanshouheil. Played lots of rock and roll in Kilgore and surrounding area in '70s. Used to play where club owner had a lion in a cage there but don't remember name of place. GOD ROCK IS ALL THAT MATTERS ANYMORE TO ME NOW.

Howdy howdy howdy!

Man I dont remember any lions in the 70's around Kilgore. But then there is not a lot I do remember about the 70's LOL.

Thanks for the shout out bro. Check out our band site. It's pretty new and our recording quality aint all that. But it's a start.

I played in a house band in Hot Springs, AR just during the racing season one year and I was the only one in the band from out of town. The owner had a guest house that the bands stayed in and since I was the only out of towner, I had it all to myself. The club owner also had a wrestling bear in a cage next to the guest house. I'd always stop for munchies on the way back from the gig and when I'd get there, I'd feed chips to the bear through the cage. My sons got to go stay with me one week and they loved it. ;)

Yea. Rickey Lynn Greg and I performed together occasionally in those days. I worked with drummers Jimbo Wilson of Gladewater, Mike Wilson, Bill White, Bill McQuery of Longview, bassist Mike Black and guitarist Brian Childers and Chucky Taylor of Longview, and many others whose names I can't remember. I am a career bassist but am currently lead guitarist with a band that tours. Maybe we could do a show together if 'The Rock Band Relic' works our way toward the 'Lone Star'

Da-vo, that would be pretty cool. I recognise most of those names from bands in this area over the years. Being new to the music world however I cant say I know any of them personaly.
Yea, it be cool to do a show together!

Dothan? wow, that brings me back. I have an old gf in Rocky Creek.

The wench fell to the gutter side of the road when she figured out that this dog wasn't going to jump on command.

Gotta love those southern women, just not the bossy attitude that comes with em. lol
