Bass - Frolicking Fingers

I just re-recorded a song.
2 tracks; Guitar and Bass; called 'Frolicking Fingers.'
. . . wondering if the volume of the bass seems ok.
.
To me, most of the song belongs to the guitar.
.
I'm keeping the bass real soft (almost un-noticeable) on the higher notes, and I'm letting it emerge on the lower notes.
.
I kinda like it that way; it gives the guitar it's own space.
. . . wondering how many agree . . .

I fancy myself to be one of those new fangled flashy bassists who wants the same portion of sound that the rest of the band has and I hear that in this piece, I don't think there is anything wrong with the bass line at all, may not be something I'd go out of my way to listen to but I have no complaints

I would like to hear more of the bass. I like to have a good solid floor to build upon. For this style of music a little more would go a long way. IMO

You write and play such joyfull upbeat stuff Alan.
Always a pleasure.

I gave another listen.

Both of you guys are absolutely right.

I boosted the bass to a fairly consistent volime through out.
It's posted - "Frolicking Fingers 3Mix2."
That extra bass does gives the song a little kick.
Thanks.

Yeah, I'd go see a duet of bassist and guitarist playing stuff like that.
