Another gig last night in Brownsville TN.

Being Memorial Day Weekend, the crowd wasnt as big as we hope for, but the folks that showed up were crazy as hell.

Last time we played here I brought out the ole half stack and it was too much for the room. So I brought the little Mesa Subway Rocket 20 watts tube and set up. Theres no pictures but I played the big Gibson ES-175 the first set. I set my amp real low and played an hour and fifteen minute set and never touched the amp. I couldnt hear myself, but I was determined to not over blow the room. During the break the guys in the band said, John I know we never tell you this, but you need to turn up.

So I turned it up a notch or two or three, we started the second set with STPs Wicked Garden. Man the little Mesa was smoking, theres just something about this little amp, that just makes my Les Paul sing. I was feeling good the crowd was going wild. I looked at our singer and said that felt good didnt it. He said for you maybe. He couldnt hear a thing other than me. Damn, so I turned it down some, but hey the whole night was worth that one song and cranking that little amp on those big ole A chords. Oh well, they wont tell me to turn it up again.

But on thinking about it, I may start using the littel amp again, it just sings. Our bassist hurt his back and he showed up without an amp. But he sounded really good thru the pa.

You guys enjoy the pictures and have a great Memorial Day and for Gods sake Keep On Rockin As Long As You Can, Keep On Rockin!

Good pics JW. I'll take a small interactive audience over a stone crowd anyday.

George you can tell we are interactive with the audience.

Kevin our singer and I had dinner last night and started remembering gigs and stuff thats happened the people that were around at one point or another. We started this band or the foundations of it in 88-89 so we have a 20 yr history going these days with around 1000 gigs under our belts. We still enjoy playing music together and the cool thing is it really doesnt matter waht we play. We could do Louie Louie or Metallica and still get into the music.

This guy that comes and sees us all the time now said it best sat night after a gig. He said I keep coming to see you guys cause I can see that you feel the music. I dont guess i can ask for a better compliment than that. Of course our drummer chimes in It sure aint for the money!

Too funny
