Open Mic Nights

Yah this has been discussed before but I didn't feel like zombifying a thread. I'm gonna be going out to an open mic tonight, cept I haven't jammed with this guy in a a few months, all I know for sure is that he said he's into mellower stuff right now, not good as I've been getting heavier (trying to build the muscles for tremelo picking in various genre's) might have the gall to try singing and playin bass at the same time, but it's not easy as its been said on here before. Last time I played open mic with this dude, we played for like 10 minutes and ducked out the side door laughing our fool drunk asses off, but I'm hopin that isn't the case this time

Im on the same boat...
I got invited to a Blues Bar open mic tomorrow night.
I haven't played Blues in years so as I have been playing fusion.
But im excited though.

I like Less Claypool a lot. Same with Tool's drummer Danny Carey... both are freaking awesoem musicians. (Also Buckethead) I started listening to guitar players like Al DiMeola, John Scofield, Pat Metheny and John McLaughlin that got me into Fusion. Currently listening to fusion rock like Planet X.
