A Couple of Las Vegas bands I'd like you guys to check out.

So last night we played The Penthouse Strip Club.

We were supposed to go on at 11:00, but things were running behind. Now we were being told we're going on at 2:00 AM..

A couple of us had to work today, so we were contemplating just going home. But we decided to sack-up and play. Being in a Reggae band, we're kind of minority around here. And this was mainly a Hard-Rock and Metal gig.

Not to mention, the biggest, very soon to be signed Rock band here in Vegas decided to pop in and play a set. If you haven't heard of the band OTHERWISE (las vegas), you should check em out on Myspace, I-Tunes, basically a lot of avenues. Their Drummer is the Drummer in my song on my profile.

The BURN Drummer.

But that's not the only band I'm posting about. The band that went on before us was a band called "KUSH". They have a female singer/guitar player, and a female lead guitar player. Let me tell you this.. They are very talented. Made us glad we stayed.

The lead guitar player, oddly enough, ended up being one hell of a rhythm player. Still in her teens. But she had us all just watching her skills. So you tell me..

This girl can rock!! Just pay close attention to the rhythm guitar and you'll see what I mean. She killed it live. Very good at sustaining her notes and giving the songs emotion. Check out the second song.

Anyway.. Otherwise, Kush, and Haleamano freaking floored that place. Just destroyed it!! With a lot of class.

I can't describe to you how it feels to walk into a hard-rock/ Metal/Screamo situation and hold your own with Reggae music. The whole band felt it with pride and we just gave it 100%. we came to play.. Not go home. And you could tell Kush did too.

I've gotta be honest.. This was a much different vibe than Lei Day. This was one of those times when everyone in the band was loose and in a freakish zone. It wasn't one of those happy-go-lucky atmospheres. We had more of a killer instinct going on in the band. Sometimes when your pride meets the music somewhere in the middle, you just end up with something magical. And these 3 bands didn't disappoint.

None of the bands were competing with each other in any sense. There were accolades flying around all over the place. Between the bands and the venue. We all just wanted to show what we can do. It was a very supportive event.

F**k man.. What a week.

That was f**king awesome!!

Yea man. We really enjoyed their set.

We invited them to come play with us again this weekend.

I have a pretty cool story about the other night, but I need to finish wiring my Ibanez tonight. Getting my RG up and running again. Nice Dimarzio pickups installed. Man I miss this guitar.

By the way, we were able to get some video footage of our San Diego show. They're just a bunch of small clips, so it needs to be edited. The footage was taken for promotional purposes, so there's not any one full song recorded. But some really cool clips taken.
