Folks I talk about you guys to other people with high merit points. I like coming here or did until recently.

There is a serious need for a cheering up in here frankly. Everybody has rough times and not everyone makes a 'Rock Star'. Let's get back to some non political and educational fun eh?

IF.
This is what Bandmix thought of when the preconception of this design went into place then it is flawed. I've seen someone called Bmix from time to time. What they do?

It's really up to you.
Right?

Chippy:
Although I will be the first to jump both feet into a political argument, I do tend to agree with you. To a point.
I have been around the Bandmix and forum since 02/22/2007.
This cycles:
We have some banter now and agian about polatics and religion. This is to be expected amoungst musicians I think. Then we will get into these cycles where we are inundated with fools. Most are not even real musicians, with things going on in their lives related to our craft. Just spoiled, bored, pricks looking for an outlet from their pathetic lives.
I believe you have been here less than a year? Yes?
I'll tell you what Chipster. For my part sir, I will vow that for the rest of this month, I will only participate in real musically based threads.
I invite you to watch and call me to task if (or when) I break said vow.
Besides I grow tired of banter with nitwits whom cannot aquire or utilise facts.

I'm with you guys, to a certain extent. I'm getting bored with the useless arguing from some of the people who haven't even proven to be musicians of any sort. But I still like reading some of the posts by our known friends, like Paleopete's vacation to Vegas, Fisherman Bob's fishing storys, San telling about his wife's car wreck and letting us know she is doing well. While these aren't always musically based, they are musician based. I'm just going to refrain from acknowledging posts or responses that have absolutely no merit with me in any way. Even if they tick me off. I'll just quote the last musical or musician's post before them, and go from there, thereby circling around the dweebs and getting the post back on track. Perhaps they'll get tired of being truly ignored and go away. Maybe not. But they won't have any fun on here, being all unacknowledged and stuff.

Yeah, like it was said above - this stuff goes in cycles. You can always just click onto the next thread in hopes of real content.

I like to discover what makes ppl tick, to a degree, & I really enjoy slamming a dumbass, & I don't see that changing anytime soon...LOL

For the last few months, my musical world has been on hold for a lot of reasons beyond my control. I still have a life, though, & like to share that with my friends, be they here or in the "real." I also like to hear what's going on for others. I see no need to restrict myself to only music, just cuz this is a musician's site.

Besides, that which you read in here today might just be the inspiration for your next great song. I thik I'm gonna write one about ousting illegal aliens & ppl who cut & paste music, & sending them all off to Elba.

I feel a thread that has to do with the goings on in our forum friends lives is "musical" in nature.

ie:
NOISY KUNG FUplayed a concert in benefit yesterday that included five bands. The venue was a park in Golden Texas (dont blink, you will miss the whole town) The park was quite nice, a large covered apitheater and many other buildings. The cleanest newist public restroom facility I have seen in years. Not so sure why that was important. Other than to attempt to describe the caliber of this park. Clean, well groomed grounds, not a rust spot to be found anywhere. The event organiser told me the lease for the day was only $100.00
Unfortunately the advertisment was biker directed. Not that I have anything against bikers, but the weather was really bad!!
Thundrstorms tore through just about every hour, a tornado was sited just north of our location. Due to the quality of the ampitheater, the show went on despit a limited turn out. I used our PA and ran sound for the event. We had a vendor whom had crawfish and fresh hot boudain at a very reasonable price. My wife and my sons were present. All had a good time with some pretty dang good local bands rockin the house.
The musician to musician fellowship was worth the trip alone.

What caught my eye the most here was the reasonably priced food and drink - That's one thing I'm jealous of you guys in the south... up here, they take you for $5 water and $10 crumbs
