I got my driver's license in 1971, and I've driven a tractor trailer for work since 1982, so I've seen all sorts of different driving styles, good and bad. The one constant is BMW drivers. Just the most obnoxious, selfish motorists on the road in my experience. Now of course there are exceptions, but 9 times out of 10...LOOK OUT! Why is this? It doesn't seem to be a luxury car thing, because I don't find the same thing with Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, Jag, etc drivers.

Careful, Dajax. The same thing could be said for most truck drivers. :)

Ignorance and rudeness have no monetary boundaries. It doesn't matter what the hell they're driving, people still do stupid sh*t behind the wheel.

I've been driving "grown-up" trucks for over 25yrs, still do, and just when you think you've seen it all, somebody comes along with a new stunt.

Actually, the one place where it seems like all you see is Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, etc is all over LA. That said, the drivers over there are a lot more considerate of the big trucks than right here in Phoenix, where I live. They will actually blink the lights to you for a lane change! In Arizona, we have the most arrogant drivers anywhere. You want to change lanes...good luck dude, they mash on the gas when they see your blinkers, just to cut you off.

Just be patient, and remember how big and heavy you are before you let something like a stupid driver (truckers too) get the best of your mood.

Motor safe and be a professional.

well I haven't had to dodge to many BMW drivers on my big ass beach cruiser old man bicycles that I tend to ride, but honda/hyundai drivers piss me off, my dad has had a few good stories about idiots in beemers, he almost ate a beemer once that went hammer lane to off ramp, usually when the driver does that they have conn tags on it, this guy must have just moved they had new york tags on.

I used to help promote comedy shows in Memphis and we had this guy that used to come thru. I cant remember his name but he was black, remember that before I start.

Part of his show:

TO AUDIENCE: Do you know what BMW stands for?

NO RESPONSE: Black Mans Wheels!

Then he would start talking about tinted windows. He says all the brothers want tinted windows, he says when I get my BMW I want magnifying glasses in my windows. So all the brothers can see whos driving that BMW. They'll say look at that guy with the big ole head! In the beamer.

I couldnt help myself when I saw the BMW headline.

I've had 5 Beemers (BMW's) in my life. I drive a Windstar now.
I'm finding it hard to relate to this forum quite frankly of late.

Soz.
Better out than in Mom always said.

I don't watch for car brands. I watch for the states on the license plates.

NJ means be very wary cuz they'll never use a blinker & they'll be aggressive. VA means they'll speed & be aggressive. MD means they can't handle a car in rain or snow...WV means they might be drunk...LOL

And Missouri should change their slogan from "The Show Me State" to "The Slow Me State". :) And if you ever get behind a Missouri vehicle WITH a handicap tag...

haha.. and if it's a PA tag.. you can bet that on the best possible driving day - perfect weather, no sun glare, no rain, ice, snow, road debris, anything... people here will drive into guard rails, walls, each other, etc...

I've never seen so many accidents on the day there shouldn't be any...

When I used to live in New Jersey I always said we were surrounded by pigs (Pennsylvania & New York drivers). Then after moving here I was astounded by how BAD they drive in Missouri. I'm not sure it's their fault, generally the roads are awful in Missouri. Kansas maintains its highways way better than almost any state I've lived in. That may have something to do with the abilities of the drivers (although Missouri people say we Kansans drive too fast.) When I lived in Tennessee some of the drivers pulled the most UNPREDICTABLE moves I ever saw. Maybe they were DRUNK. Later...
