Someone mentioned Neanderpaul's youtube videos so I went there and did a search on "Neanderpaul" and really enjoyed watching those vids. The one with him doing vocals on Jimmy Danger's version of the Badfinger song was great! I'd just like to know if anyone else has anything on there. If so, just tell us what name or keyword to search. It's like getting to know you better, much better than listening to your songs on here and just seeing your pic. Thumbs up to Neanderpaul's video editing too. They were all done well and the sound and video are nice and clear.

You know, there is a bunch of footage of us playing in San Diego, and at the Pure Aloha Festival. But it was professionally done, and the people who filmed it have told us we are not allowed to post any of it on You Tube.
So at the moment, the only video on You Tube that has me in it is this one:

The Drummer's wife took a few quick snippets. I asked Rob if there was more and he said that's all there was on the camera.

I wanted to see more. This was a fun gig.

Good stuff, Shredd. I'd like to see the professional stuff they did.

I have a couple videos up at my myspace. But I havnt converted the old vhs and 8mm film over to cd. Yes I said 8mm film. I have a video of me playing when I was 17. I was Paul Mccartney. We did 3 Beatle songs. It was a sr class play. I have a vhs of me playing with Harmonica Slim and Buddy Guy at a blues fest. I was back stage and someone yelled for a bass player and we played 3 hours earlier. So I said Ill do it. Just the right place at the time.
I need to convert it !!

Weve videoed a few shows, but because of sound quality or just general goofiness weve abstained from putting anything on there. I think we look better in the still shoot medium like the old Creem and Circus magazines of the 70s.
Neanderpaul's look pretty good to me.

Ratsass,
Here's my second u toob production.
I'm planning to further trash my musical career in the near future with a solo attempt at Dave Crosby's "Triad" featuring yos truely tryin' to play my old Fender Mustang. (If you get through the Cream tune, check out my son and my duet for harp and ukulele from last Thanksgiving, jammin' on Little Feat's "Willin". )

Go easy on me, since doing these videos are about the only musical endeavors I have time for at the moment.

Hey thanks friends! I recommend a decent video editing program, and catching audio from both the room sound and the board then combining the 2.

I figure the next show we do in a decent size venue I would just rent one of those professional video / audio cameras and have my wife film the show.

Sans, in the video I posted, Rob's wife was standing to the sides, kind of diagonal when she shot the clips. The video of the music was taken with a regular digital snapshot camera.
The trick is to stand where the sound is pushing past the camera, not directly at it. Stay away from being directly in the path of any speakers. There are sweet spots in any situation, you just have to find them.
Secondly, those pro cameras are usually in HD. We had to compress and convert our San Diego footage to regular video files. If you're not used to that, you can be for a real pain in the ass.

Thanks for the heads up man. Perhaps I should rent a production man too.
And just let my wife enjoy the show.
