That sucks. Why didn't you make him stay until the cops came? I mean, complaining is one thing but taking action is another. You chased him for miles only to let him leave? The guy happened to be an ii, but there are plenty of legal citizens driving around on suspended licenses and no insurance. A truck driver once tried to run me off the road, but I certainly don't believe all truck drivers are criminals.

Well Mr. Danger you see Houston is a sanctuary city and no damage was done to my truck so if I were to have waited on the cops to arrive I would have been hours late for work with no benefit to yours truly. The cops would have written the illegal 2 or 3 tickets he would have given them a fake name and address the cops can't ask them their citizenship status because our mayor won't allow them to and the illegal would have been on his way never to pay the tickets so what good would it do? and yes I am doing more than just complaining through my voting actions and a group I am ascociated with called grassfire.org I am doing as much as I can but because your Messiah is going to give them some sort off amnesty then there will be another 22 million of them here for you to support with your tax dollars and to run into the back of your car under the same circumstances and we will just see how you like it.

That sucks, I'm sorry to see Houston still going downhill. If you read my comments on illegals in another thread Houston is where most of the situations mentioned took place. I've seen what you're dealing with myself, deal with similar scenarios daily here in Vegas too. Got trampled in the stores a dozen times yesterday, these people think nothing of running over you with a shopping cart. No manners, no consideration for others, just shove their way through a store same way they do in their country. In Mexico, you don't just get on the bus when it stops at a street corner, you get shoved in. Literally. Happened every time we got on the bus when I went to Monterrey with a friend in 92 or so. Here they act exactly the same, I was run into or shoved in stores yesterday 3 times. All 3 times the same - south of the border immigrants, most likely illegal, and always claim no habla Engles.
Rude, inconsiderate, dishonest...ok I'll shut up...
I wasn't aware that Houston's mayor was acting like that though, I left Houston in late 92 or early 93 and never looked back, 2 weeks after the trip to Mexico I was watching Houston disappear in the rear view mirror. The best view of Houston I ever had...

Q. What's a cue ball and an illegal alien got in common?
A. The harder you hit 'em with a stick, the more english you get out of 'em.

Believe me J I sympathize with your situation. But you should have made the guy accountable, even if it were to result in nothing. At least it might have made you feel better. And I'm not sure what you mean by "your Messiah". I presume you mean our president, whom the majority of the citizens of this country voted for. I also assume you pay taxes, so they're not just my tax dollars.

Nowhere in my reply did I sound the least bit sympathetic to the illegal immigrants, least of all the one that ran into you. All I said was you should have waited for the cops to come. Yes you would have been late for work but sometimes standing up for your rights is inconvenient. I would have thought a Texan already knew that. And thanks for giving the new guy 100 days; we gave that other guy from Texas eight years and look where it got us.

As an outside observer, you sound sympathetic to illegal aliens. I'm not sure how else to read this line:
"The guy happened to be an ii, but there are plenty of legal citizens driving around on suspended licenses and no insurance. A truck driver once tried to run me off the road, but I certainly don't believe all truck drivers are criminals"
I'm not saying it's wrong to sympathize, I'm just pointing out that I think J-Haley is correct in his assessment of your tone.
regards,
Chris

Sorry to hear about your car dude though I notice from what you have said any punter hitting the rear will possibly suffer for it unless its a Tractor Trailer of course, (Something like it = BIG!).
A guy hit me in a very nice car I had some years back. Told me he was going to the hospital because his wife was ill. Spoke perfect English too as a matter of fact. Caved in one of my wheel arches and I felt sorry for him having taken his address.
Never got a cent (Penny) for it! He was living there legally too, with his wife and children. Not s single thing from him did I get. Car ruined, I could not afford the repairs.
Anyway... Stop there and get the police? Yeah why the hell not! Don't you need proof for Insurance and don't your insurance company need that proof to process a claim?
Bet your bottom Dollar if I got a guy to stop I'd make him wait for as many hours as it took because it is an inconvenience too.
By the way. My Story was from England.

I feel your frustration. I live in the Bay Area. San Francisco is also a sanctuary city, and much of what goes on around here boggles my mind. The whole concept of a sanctuary city puzzles me. Basically, it's a mayor raising his middle finger to the law he swore an oath to uphold instead of doing the responsible thing, like getting his constituency to vote to change the law instead of acting like a little dictator. Pretty frustrating. But what can you do? Voting doesn't work... i.e., there exists a sanctuary city despite the law.
I'm glad no one was hurt tho. Look at this as a great source for lyrics for your next song!

Cops? Cops my ass. One of those bastards T-boned my wifes Trailblaser
about three years ago. Totaled her truck, she was lucky the dirtbag ran the light from the passanger side or she'd be dead. No ID at all. The F'n cop just let this bastard walk off.
If one of these criminal shitbirds hits me I may be on my way to prison and hell.
But dont blame the Mexicans they say. Bullshit!!
I blame them and our government.

You guy's around the rest of the country don't understand how frustrated we are down here in Texas and there is a reason for that. I have often said there will come a time when I will have to leave this State that I so dearly love, due to the fact this place is becoming an uncivilized third world country. The drug gangs are crossing the border and they have been here in Houston for some time now this guy that hit me was the same Sans he had No I.D. and the reason I chased him in the first place is because the last time this happened I pulled over to inspect the damage assuming the person that rear ended me would do the same By the time I looked up that person was gone. So if this happens to you be ready to give chase at least to get the license plate no.

Well, if you're in construction, don't bother coming to WV. They've ruined it all for everyone here, as well. Tried to get a job once on a crew, but no one even spoke English, or so they pretended.
I do like the food though.
I'm sick of everything catering to their language, & their "human" status. I don't consider it "inhumane" to toss 'em out of the country they've entered illegally, & I don't think it's right for their mere numbers to further exacerbate our employment problems. Illegals are just that - they do NOT deserve our giving them sanctuary & money & housing & other gov't subsidies, cuz they're frikken ILLEGAL to begin with! Lock 'em up & toss 'em out, or just forget about the entire concept of borders.
I'm STILL waiting on my bailout, dammit, & as far as I'm concerned, as an AMERICAN citizen, my gov't owes ME help FIRST.
