Greetings fellow bandmixers. Just returned from the studio, I remixed Poison and it's much better, I think. Have a listen and play it loud!

I'm STILL working on my version of this track...

as I drive on my tour I am listening and mulling and torturing myself over it. I have a big chunk done.... STILL..... and I have made progress. I just can't seem to finish. It's funny how "nothing but wrong" just came together like an unavoidable car wreck - BAM - it was done. But finishing this track is like pulling teeth.... however.... I WILL PREVAIL!!

I know you will Paul! I gave it to Johnny too and he gave up. I'm no singer so rescue me!

Thank you Z, but wait until Paul does his magic. I just put some placeholder lyrics on there to have something. This is a tough tune for the singer, I had a hell of a time and my other singer Johnny gave up.

Jimmy, I think your vocals would be fine with a good producer working on them. You sing in tune, and the phone effect would work well on those parts, but a producer would know how to make that effect sound better. On your other parts, you start of with kind of a growling heavy voice and fade into your regular voice and it gives the effect that you're giving up too soon. Do the whole thing in the growl or half in the growl and half in your regular voice so it's like two different singers. Just my thoughts. Love the song tho!

Thanks for your kind words my rodent friend but I have a better idea: get a real singer that is capable of singing the parts (Paul will come up with his own lyrics and melody I believe). I'm actually a decent backup singer but no lead vocalist. It sucks because I hear what I want in my head but I just don't have the equipment to make it happen.

Same here, bud, only, that extends to my guitar playing too, I'm afraid.

Naw, yer a fine player. The trick is to do what you do well and get great people to do what you can't and make you sound even better
