I might be moving to St. Augustine. Where do the musicians jam?
Also, If you want to jam in Gainesville, I know where three good ones are located every week.

I've been told there's an open jam at Tradewinds on Thursdays, but I haven't gotten up there to check it out yet. There are several in Daytona if you care to make the drive; it's only about 45 minutes from St Augustine. The Bank has a blues jam on Wednesdays, the Boothill is on Thursdays, Wise Guys on Sunday afternoon, & the new owners of Grizzly's may keep up the Sunday nights, but I'm not sure.

HI, Julie! Nice to hear from you! I was hoping to hear from you, since we are close by. Anything cooking with your goals? Which of the jams do you usually attend? And if you are ever interested in the jams in G'ville, I certainly could introduce you to everyone. There is a jam every Tuesday and "Dia's" home. It's mostly all fiddle players and some of them look overwhelmed when I drag out the LOUD accordion. I'm thinking of learning the autoharp to blend in better. Do you know anything about the autoharp? I think I could handle the autoharp because I've tried the guitar and it makes my skinny little fingers bleed! OUCH! I just came back from a party/jam session in Keystone Heights (not far from your way) Angelina

Hi, Angelina! I've never been to Gainesville. I moved here in January, but I haven't had a car since February, which makes getting to jams a little difficult at times. I used to go to the Bank every Wednesday, but there wasn't a lot of variety in the blues people there played (lots of SRV sound-alikes). I like the Boothill on Thursdays, even though at times it's just a repeat of the Wednesday jam. I've never seen an autoharp or a fiddle at any of them; & certainly not an accordion! Definitely would add something different!

Where'd ya come from? Have you been around for a Bike Week? I used to attend with my Canadian guys friends but they all got married and made babies, so no more Harley kanuck visits for Bike Week in March.

I'm from Cincinnati, but I was living just outside Ashland, KY when I decided to move to Daytona. Just couldn't stand coal country; even though my band was actually starting to do pretty well. I got a small taste of bike week; even stood in for a sick singer for one of the bands one night, but I was stuck out in the 'burbs for most of it. My current band has a few bookings for biketoberfest, so I'm really looking forward to being in the thick of things. Hopefully by next bike week we'll be well-known enough to play at the best venues. My favorite is the Broken Spoke.
