I've seen dozens of really cool myspace pages and I'm still stuck with the blah white and blue thing. I'm leary of the ads that r probably filled with spam, so's how do y'all do it?
Thanx in advance!

Usually, somewhere on the page (it varies as different pages have different setups), it'll say something like "I pimped my myspace with..." and have a link to whichever one they used. Just pick a cool one and click on that link and follow the instructions. That's what I did.

I found this tutorial, and also used various content from other myspace pages and layouts (learned how to edit the script)

try Pyzam.com or pimpmyprofile.com

there are also programs that will copy the layout or background of any myspace page. If you see one you like just grab it.
try Googling grab myspcace to find the program then go find a page that you like!

If anyone needs help with this write me ok.

There isn't that much you can do since most of the code is not accessible except for certain areas. If you haven't got a paid account on BandMix write me on my myspace thingymiJig I cannot post my Email here for obvious reasons.

Cheers.

Chippy.

I used pimpmyprofile.com. But our MySpace page is not much more than a placeholder. I really hate the way MySpace templates their site. So we built our own (DayofRain.net)

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm kinda leary of 'code writing' so I'll probably try to use 'pimp my profile' now that I know it's safe to use. Thanx :D

I will add that I wouldnt load up my page with too much stuff, it takes too long to load.

When Im surfing checking out bands I like to see a schedule of dates, I like to hear a couple of songs and if Im curious go in and look at pictures of the group playing live and what kinda crowd they draw.

Ive got friends bands who have all kinds of stuff on their pages that just tie it up when you try to load it. You only have a few seconds to draw someone in, dont blow it with too much wrapping material. They may never look again if it takes too long to load.

Just my 2 cents.

Same here, JW. If it takes too long to load the page, I'm outta there.

Sounds good. Thanks again, y'all. I must say though, that I like Hayden's page, easy on the eyes. How did you do that one Hayden? The code thing or a program? (Just curious)
