If it wasn't for you (bandmix) I would have never found out about how to upload my songs on myspace, nor met the people I have met thus far in the music world. Today I got a call from a fan. :D Not only does the fan want copies of my cd's, they also wish to learn my stuff and record it themselves. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo happy, it's like a break I've been waiting for. I know this is just a start, so I will still be coming around here often, to learn everything I don't already know about the music world. Thanks again Bandmix

Good for you, Tracy. I love it when things work out well for anyone, but especially musicians.

Thanks for all of ya'll posts, it really means alot. :D

Well, the meeting went well today, though I was nervous as hell from all my excitement. LOL Still trying to bring myself down to a low high from being so happy just so I can breath alittle. We're suppose to hook up again on Monday and just jam some, to get the feel of each others musical talents. I don't wish to rush into any big decisions, I just want to kinda go with the flow of things, and take it slow if you know what I mean. Been down this sorta road before, and don't wish to make the same mistakes twice.

Congrats Tracy, it's nice to hear something positive in this here business. Be careful though.....There's many sharks lurking around these waters....

 Well, so far it's been working out ok. I sold 3 of my songs to this gal, who wants to sing them whevere she wants to sing them at, as long as the places are for non-profit means. I drew up a contract with her stating she couldn't copy, sell or record any of my music. She seems legit, yet at the same time, I stay very alert, just because I've been down some roads before. anyways will keep you posted as things move futher along.

That's a new one to me. I've never heard of selling "playing rights". I've sang other local ppl's stuff before in my act, & never paid them a cent. Am I a rippoff artist?
