I'm just as glad I got that over with...it's made me free to use the rest of my life without the doubts & fears that I might not make it after all - I didn't, & ya know what? IT'S STILL OKAY WITH ME!!! I still have time, & I"ll never have to worry about the crap that a teen idol has to go through.
I'm still learning new stuff like fishing & can pick up a new instrument anytime I wish, & I have skills I never had at any other time in my life, without the emotional shakiness that came with youth. The pressure's off, I like life a lot more than I ever did, with a few exceptions (heck, NOTHIN's perfect).
I like bein' 54 a LOT better than I liked bein' 34.

Just keep doing what ya do best, and have a helluva good time while you're doing it.
Like a friend of mine says (in his 60's)...I get up in the morning, check the obits in the paper, if I don't see my name I plan my day! I love it!
