"Thoughts" - interesting country rockish tune...Like the guitar tones & the overall melody...not too crazy about the vox...at 2:45 it almost seems to fall down, but I like it...like the bass, too, which is rare from guitar guys what do their own stuff
"Don't Wake Me Up" - the voices are kinda jarring at the start, but I understand - you aren't a singer....this tune is way cool, imo. Love these changes...I'd love to hear this one with singers...

Ouch ! No offense intended bro but, ohh those vocals.
The Band keeps
me away from the mic for a reason.
Over all though I really enjoyed the musical aspects of both tunes.
The changes in DWMU were real tight. Yes, nicely arranged.
Thoughts, put me in mind of some classic Alice Cooper, tone, timing ect.
Seems like I have made that comparison before with some of your stuff.

Yeah, Sans. I could hear the Alice Cooper sinisterism (I know it's not a REAL word).

Thanks to you all for listening... you are brave souls to endure my singing, hayden I looked up John Prine on you tube I didn't know him which makes me relize how much talent is out there.
Philby, I guess you know the deal, unless I get some singer to sing my tunes (not an easy task) it's the only way for me to complete any song short of makenig them instrumental. I too would like to hear some of my tunes sung by a vocalist but I'm afraid this is not going to happen anytime soon the singers that I know are too busy keeping up with their respective song lists.
Sans, I have the same stipulation with the various bands I play with I.E. to keep away from the mic, I'm fully aware that they don't call me for my singing and I quite content with just doing my thing with the guitar. thanks for you imput.
Rats, Sinister? I thought death metal has the lock on that mood, but I have to agree with your assessment the tunes do convey a certain spookyness.
Good of you to listen and opine, thanks.
Hope to do better on the next batch of songs if and when they come up, I'm thinking instrumental?

NO! Look, fret, just cuz you don't have a fine voice doesn't mean you cannot convey a song. If you write it, we'll listen.
Yeah, you'll prolly keep getting comments, but who gives a damn? You & I know what you are - a songwriting guitarist.
Let us hear your songs as well as you can do them. Who knows, maybe one of us'll cover YOU. I stilll want to hear the stuff you write, cuz you are a good writer.
Some of the best songwriters couldn't hardly sing at all. Don't worry about it. Present the songs, please.

I totaly agree with Phil's comments. Despite my statement about your singing.
Keep posting please.
If I had your talent as a songwriter and guitarist without my readly available friends whom sing better than I. Then I would do the same.
Who knows, sometime I may "treat" you guys to my vocal renditions.
But be aware I wont give you any warning! Talk about
sinister.
