Hi y'all. Just touching bass with everyone. I have been busy completing a music arrangement that has kept me quite busy. I expect to be done this Wednesday and possibly have it posted. Thank you for your support during the Yo Yo Ma contest...Didn't win but considering the imperfection of my recording, coming in 45th out of 350 participants ain't bad at all. This event has actually given me another piece of music to work on and I have another composition under my belt. My Dona Nobis countermelody will be performed at my students' recital. I hope to be coming here more often soon. Onward :o

Hey Mary!
Welcome back to the mix my lady.
45th out of 350. Gee that's impressive to me. I mean doing music is different than archery or something where its easy to tell who wins.
Music is all based on someones opinnions, right ?
I might listen to all 350 entries and say, damn you know that Mary her stuff is the best! The next stiff wont see it that way.
Looking foreward to hearing your music. :D

Thanks guys,

I am here even when I am not here. I gotta have a community of guys to pal around with. I look forward to you hearing my arrangement of the piece, "Coffee Break" by Billy Mclaughlin. he wrote for guitar and I remixed it for flute choir, harp, chamber orchestra. It is really nice if I do say so myself. I especilaly look forward to Billy hearing the piece that I arranged as a homage to him. I have enjoyed his concerts immensely and this is my way of paying him back. Hopefully, tomorrow will be the final recording and mixing. Billy has a documentary about his experience with focal dystonia and how he had to make some chages with his guitar playing. He is actually a left handed player now. If any one reading this lives in Minnesota, I hope you can get out to see th doc's premiere.

Take care
