I wonder if this is worth anything?

Back around 1978-79 we got a tour of the Gibson guitar plant in Nashville, TN. The guy gave us 2 reject necks, this one was going to be attached to a Les Paul. He said "this can never be released or sold to the public" . Butttt.. being over 30 years ago, I figured there is a statute of limitations of sort, and, being hard up for cash at the moment I'm thinking about un-attaching it from my home-made bass and selling it. The serial number and the Gibson inlay are punched with 6's or 9's (depending on how you look at it) and the 'made in USA' stamp seems to be upside down.

Don't know what kind of price tag would go with that but it's definitely a cool little piece of memorabilia. I say leave it attached to that home made bass of yours and put that bad boy in action. That in and of itself might help resolve some $ woes.

Well, actually that's the only bass I've ever used on all my songs in the past 20 years & it's the only bass I've ever had , lol..
