I got 2 more vocal demos up on my profile...

For those who didn't like the style of the older ones I did, check out my cover of Demon Hunter's song "Sixteen"...I actually (attempt to) sing the chorus.

Second one is a cover of The Devil Wears Prada's song "Hey John, What's Your Name Again?"

Both are good christian metal songs (Posted lyrics below)

Check em out!

Sixteen lyrics:

Sixteen, Oh holy day
Your time has come and passed
The rapture we’ve been waiting for
Has come to us at last
Sixteen for every fake
Sixteen to every whore
Wipe that dirt from off your face
Sixteen is at your door

Oh, voiceless, wasted
You soaked your heart in gasoline
Now light it up and burn

Chorus:
The same cycle ever-turning you is calling
It’s calling
The scene is begging for a prayer tonight
It always, it always will

You take the name of love divine
And drag it through your blood
Now turn to face what you have made
And mourn what you have done

Oh, voiceless, wasted
You soaked your heart in gasoline
Now light it up and burn
Voiceless, wasted
I came this far to drag you down
And watch you take your turn

(Chorus)

*Farewell to false pretension
Farewell to hollow words
Farewell to fake affection
Farewell, tomorrow burns 2X*

(Chorus)

Hey John lyrics:

the concept of fashion is the one to blame
painting the portrait of
conviction-less existence.
well, it must be difficult being so gorgeous.
well it must be difficult claiming to be the kings and queens
but it's all(x4)
for nothing.
this shall pass. megalomania.
congratulations on mutiliation
for a life. (x2)
Life! Life! Life! (x2)
i'm going to hope for you,
i'm going to pray
for you amongst the wreckless and the black.
salvation lies within.
i'm going to hope for you,
i'm going to pray
for you amongst the wreckless and the black.
my time is your's my friend.
we all find ourselves so horribly weak.
(Oh God,) here's an offering.

Hey Ryan, sounds good! Nice to hear you do some non-gutteral stuff on the choruses - you got a good voice, you should exploit it more.

Practise clean singing more. You're a bit rusty in that department, because you growl, scream, etc, a lot more often.
Sometimes it's shaky. Good stuff, though.

Hello Ryan,
I admire the competent delivery of the whole thing, but the continuous throaty voice starts to sound rather the same to my ear after two or three tracks.
It starts as a sinister statement, but prevents the average ear/brain from getting much or any sense of the words, so for me at 52 it became a bit tiresome... having said that, people of the right age may well catch on to its message and respond to it.
The music was the bit for me; I loved the frantic sounds and stuccatto jabbing guitars you have produced, and I would have been quite happy with that alone.
How does anyone manage to think and play and write so fast, and in such tight coordination with the other instruments?
Do some more!
Mark.........................
