If you had to pick just ONE, what would you say is your favorite genre/style of music?
(Rules: 1. Your answer also includes all sub-genres of the particular genre unless specifically stated otherwise. 2. No arguing. If you don't like a genre someone else likes, keep your opinions to yourself)
Mine: Metal

Eclectic...sorry...if I had to listen to one music style all the time I'd go mad.

If I had to pick just one, probably the indie-progressive stuff that's slowly growing right now.

I like your answer...I like all music too...I don't limit myself to one genre...
I just wanted to know which one you tend to favor more. Everyone has a favorite

Neo-psychedelic post-grunge new wave trance. That's all I listen to.

Sooner or later I tire of all genres, except the blues. Something soothing about the most simple of music forms.

Blues is funny for me....I hate that I like it, & I avoid it as much as possible...& then, something happens & I listen to it & play it awhile, & it's okay...then I'm bored & need to move on...only to come back months or years later. Chris Smithers is my all-time fave, but he's far from traditional.
Thinking about it. though, unless I have a particular favorite of the moment, I'm kinda all over the place
Most consistant for me, though, is art rock. Nektar, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Tull, Marillion, Camel...I guess if I have to have a fave, that would be it. But that's sort of an eclectic music form, with examples ranging from folk through blues & rock & metal & even world beat stuff. Toss in some Bela Fleck or Jean-Luc Ponty & there's a party in my pants!
