Some times you really piss me of HTG. Just kidding.
I contacted a gent that I found on a BM search who is looking to set up some music at a local community center.
He called me before I could walk from my computer desk into the kitchen.
Though the venue is small, and the area folks are many of the elder retired type, and our loud proud rockn roll may not exactly fit in.
We / I are in the process of getting involved. For the band to play, the possability of me using my PA system to support open mic's. And our various musicians to fill in for a house band.
This is all in the infant stage. But at least it is something outside of just practice.

Is that how you do it? I probly dont need a step-by-step but where do you click 1st - I guess it would be the 'invite-friends' tab but .. well, I'll try it and come back later with questions... hell I dont think there's 15 people within 5 miles of where I live.. maybe I'll try the 10 miles and get 20 people..

A friend of mine got in on the ground floor in a situation like your in and it has lasted for 5 years for him he even quit selling real estate to perform and book the talent and he has been great for local talent and bands.

I hope things go as good or even better for you, good luck it really sounds like a great opportunity for you.
