Auditioned a new guitarist today (or better yet he auditioned us). I tried to get him a few years ago. Turns out he has the same birthday as mine January 14. He's a year younger. The man can play his ass off. He's got very good originals and sings like Johnny Winter and plays like a combination of Johnny Winter and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I mean this guy rips a guitar to shreds. Oh yeah and he's coming back for more next week and wants to GIG AND RECORD SOON. I got my fingers crossed that FINALLY we have a permanent guitarist. It's kind of scary to have two guys in one band with he same birthday, especially if he's anything like me. Now THAT'S SCARY. Stay tuned....

We'll see if he records with us or not. Going to take some time to get used to each other. The jury is out if we can get along or not. He's more rock flavored than I'm used to. He gave me a demo of his originals. There's some SERIOUS ripping stuff on it. I mean Bonamassa, Vaughan, Hendrix, Winter-esque stuff on it. We're going to have to rev up quite a few notches in intensity. Sometimes people with the same birthday end up butting heads too much. Tht could happen here, we'll see. Other guitarists are VERY interested in playing with us, so if he doesn't work out somebody else will. Later...

So how is this guy working out for ya, bob? You still working with him? Is he rockin' you up, or are you bluesing him down?

Good luck Bob. Sounds like you threw in your line and got yourself a bite. Bring 'em in slow Bob, don't want to break your line. Hope everything turns out right for ya.
