Hey Rob, can you tell me if the instrument played in this video is a dulcimeter?

That is indeed a Hammered Dulcimer, played in the traditional way, and very well!

I've jammed on a few of these. Beats the hell outta the 'mountain dulcimer." There's a local guy that makes really good ones & is in the group "Trapezoid." If you're into hammered dulc, I would guess you know who they are. If not, check out their stuff. I'm sure it's o/l, somewhere.
Often thought about getting one, myself, but me wife usually talks me out of it, on those rare occasione that I have had the cash for one. Beautiful things, they are.

Simply beautifull.
I told my wife as we listened that I was downloading a track played on a Hammered Dulcimer.
She wanted to know if it had too much to drink.
Nice meditational type track.
Do you have any more like this?

Yeah it's good to see pros in action, the only turn off is the techno beat other then that it's fun to watch and listen to these guys occasionaly.

I was in a duo with hammered dulcimer. We mostly played around Xmas time. It is a wonderful instrument.
