I'm just saying "hi" and poking my head up to look around and see what's been happening in the NC music scene in the past couple of years... I've been busy doing other stuff...

What started as a lark, an old friend road way out to my house to jam with me and my teenage son... it was fun so we did it a few more times ... now we're thinking we could use a singer type of person too... Not to jump on a bus and chase dreams, we're older, but to play a few gigs now and then while I acquire recording equip.

If originals don't scare you...

If old Metallica / Megadeth style Metal doesn't sound dated to your ears...

oh and if driving to Yadkin County isn't a definite no...

I've only got a small pa right now... I think it's a bit underpowered though... so some type of gear is helpful lol....

Welcome. Post some of your original work for us asap.
Playing rock in the country is the only way. 8)
Was talking to a fellow whom was interested in having a band to play for them. He asked if we played any country music.
I told him "We play in the country. Does that count?"
Lost that gig. Me n my big mouth.

Its no so very difficult scribbler. If an old man likeme can do it. Well maybe you should hire a 12 year old.
The instructions in the FAQ and on the audio section of your site should get you started. Your files need to be MP3 and of less than 10mb.
Good luck.

I think I'll get my stepson to do it this afternoon... I got some old stuff... but the guitarist is the same guy I'm jamming with...

It will be probably 6 months or so before I have enough gear bought to record scratch tracks/ demos... with or without a singer... Well I can record them now, but my software to burn them don't work with this p.c. so I'm saving up for a newer one....

Oh well...

Never give in to the stereotype that your age excludes you from being able to make something of yourself musically. I let that get to me for almost 15 years and finally broke free two years ago.

I've accomplished more in the last year musically than I did in all the other years combined. And I'm a much happier and content person now.
