Hey Phil, good job, I like the acoustic vibe, especially for a young guy.

Pretty damned good for 17, or 47, for that matter, Phil. Interesting choice of effects & harmonies you use. As your voice & musical & arranging skills mature, you'll be a power to contend with. In other words, I am impressed with your songwriting skills & production & performance. You seem pretty mature, musically.
Wanna hear more.

I listened to the two songs you have posted here on Bandmix.
I detest myspace but thats another thread entirely.
You have a good sound and display a lot of talent / potential.
I,m not one of those broken heart lonely music type listeners and yet your two songs are somewhat up beat. I like that aspect.
Good Job!
We can always use another Texas around.

Simply beautiful, it must taken you six weeks to record this, just kidding man I like your music and arrangements, if you write these songs at 17 I can only imagine what will you be writing at 27.
BTW I like you look as well with the button down shirt and tie, it's a refreshing departure from the overused T-shirt look.
The house you are standing next to in your Avatar on the other hand needs a fresh coat of paint.
Good luck.

I rarely comment on music since I have yet to post music of my own. But I really do like your sound and want to express that to you. Actually, your sound reminds me of an acoustic trio ( guitar, cello, djembe ) that plays ocasionally at the corner coffee shop. Your voice is very similar to this trio's lead singer. I like various music styles but there is something about an unplugged sound that tugs at me. To support what fretwork says, don't stop writing. I quit writing and at the age of 51, I am spending my free time trying to catch up. Even if you feel uninspired...write. I too, like your look and I also like the rustic looking building that you are leaning on.

Fret and Mary,
That's one of those wind-ravaged, hurricane saturated, Texan structures!

(they're resilient, just like the people.)
Phillip,
Sounds good to me!
One of the joys of this forum is hearing good young players making music in a style that people of all ages and tastes can appreciate.
Hope to here more from ya'

Hey guys,
Thank you for the comments and crits.
I will take all of it to heart.
I love listening to people and seeing what they think when it comes to my music. I want to get better and what better way to do that then to listen to you guys who have been writing for years and years. Thank you all again.
I will be posting another thread on here very soon about my upcoming full album that comes out in January.

It's really nice to hear young people getting into accoustic instrumentation and vocals that you can understand. Good job!
