If you could add one piece of equipment to your musical setup, free!
As in price not withstanding.
Just one now. (unless it normally comes in pairs)

What would it be :?:

For me right now I would add a pair of really good subs to my PA system.
This would allow me to take some of the load off my mains and monitors.
Then of course I'd wish I had two more new mains.

I think I know crips answer already.

Well, those are two really neet wishes, and they would go well together!
So far we'e all hitting around the $1500.00 mark.
We have picked such a inexpensive way to express ourselves.

A new bass amp that is NOT a combo amp, preferably one that has a 15 and two ten inch speakers and a separate head with beaucoup power. (I prefer Peavey but I'm open-minded to try any brand). However what I really need is a strat, Fender Deluxe amp, and a blues guitarist who knows how to play it well and has the DESIRE to rehearse with us EVERY week and get a kick-ass blues band together. Later....

My Christmas wish is that all the Band Mix members get what they want for Christmas and then they all move on my street.

Merry Christmas.

Like Robin, I would love a good PA system and the brains to figure it out. Oh, wait, we can only choose one thing.

Robin, most PA's are easy to figure out, some are practically idiot proof (I may be an idiot, but I'm no fool). You've got the hard part down already (singing as well as you do). I have a Peavey XR684 powered mixer which I've had for many years. It's easy, plug in a few speakers and microphones and turn it on, it's practically ready to go. the main thing is to make sure you understand how the equalizer works and the control knobs on the individual channels (lows, mids, highs, effects). Learn how to position the microphones so you don't get feedback. A large PA can look imposing, but if you learn how each knob affects the sound it's not really that tough to figure out. These days I can set my PA up in a matter of a few minutes and when something goes wrong I immediately have it figured out. Hope you get one for Christmas. Good singers should have their own PA, just as good guitarist have their own guitar and amp. Merry Christmas!
