Me and my brother used to spend hours watching Monty Python. All my friends in high school used to sing Monty Python songs (like the lumberjack song). Some of the best comedy ever made IMO. Later...

Ah, sans, if you haven't seen "The Life Of Brian," you've really missed something! I whole-heartedly suggest it to one & all. DO try to watch it with an open mind, & I guarantee you'll enjoy it in spite of yourself.

It's not my closed Christian mind Phil. ( not this time ) I enjoy some of the off the wall humor. Some of it just goes zoom right over my head.
I really enjoy the works of Mel Brooks, despite it being quite silly.
Nobody move or I'll shoot the ni.. well never mind 8)

LOL..."Blazing Saddles" was no fave of mine, either, sans.

"High Anxiety" was Brooks at his best, imho, closely followed by "Young Frankenstein," perhaps. Really couldn't stand much of the rest, except the original "Get Smart" - THAT was pure genius! (The "2,000 yr old man" wasn't 1/2 bad, neither, now that I think about it, but he had Carl Reiner helping out on that)

He was in that rock trio, "The Three Haircuts," too. Ever hear of them? I think the other 2 members were Sid Caesar & Carl Reiner. Funny stuff. My dad had an old 45 of their one & only "hit single" - "Goin' Crazy."

Onliest prob I ever had with Monty Python was their AXE-CENTS! Some of it just slipped on by cuz I couldn't hear it right.

I bought that album when I was a kid. funny as hell then. I dont know how funny it would be now.
I'd have to say in search of the holy grail was my favorite Python movie and the Cheech & Chong album w/the enema race and clit eastwood and the twat team was my fave comedy album.

I think it pales in comparison to The Holy Grail though
