Hey guys, sorry about the short notice, needed to get in touch with both of you.

I'm heading out for Baltimore in the AM, had everything set up and of course last minute "issues" changed things.

JW.. I was planning to stay with a friend tomorrow night in Memphis, she's going into the hoispital for surgery tonight, so that got knocked out of my plans all of a sudden. have a couch I could flop on for a night? If not, no big problem, I'll make it. Planning the next stop in W VA, have a friend there I've known through a computer repair forum since around Nov 2000, might have to drive on through to there, try to nap a couple of hours in the Jeep.

Philby...I'll be cruising through WV in a day or two, probably on I-68, which is not far from your stomping grounds. If you don't have any pressing plans Thurs or Fri morning, (I'm not sure which yet) it might be possible to meet up for coffee somewhere along the way.

Looking forward to it and scared too, that's a long drive and I'm really not entirely sure I'm ready for it, but have a band wanting me to be there yesterday. Might have to leave later than intended, supposed to be really foggy here in the AM, won't really know till close to daylight.

Again sorry about the late notice JW, this didn't come up till this evening. Till then everything was planned out, was intending to just get in touch and see if we could meet up for a few minutes on my way out of Memphis.

KIDD, I just realized you're in Charleston, I think I'll be driving right through there. Won't have much time, but if you get in touch by the time I get there I'll be more than ready to get outta the driver's seat for a few minutes.

Its already showing that you posted this on the 17th also???? IT AINT TOMORROW YET.. Anyway, if your still here, yeah , man lets jam Hell, the weather will be crappy but they'll have the raods salted .Yeah , if ya have time , stop by. Kidd - I was here about 9 your time, (8 my time). Got offline not long after that. won't have time to do any playing, I'll still have a bit of driving to do by the time I get there. But will be able to stop for a bit and at least say hi.

Oh, and I'm leaving this moring, as in somewhere around 6-8AM the 17th. Depends on how long it takes to wrap up those pesky little last minute details and how bad the fog is. When I make it to your neck of the woods depends on when and how long I stop for a few winks along the way. If JW sees this and is feeling hospitable, tomorrow. If he misses it and I have to drive through, I'll be the zombie cruising along I-64 sometime tonight...I think it's 64 anyway...

Just got up & looked at this. Hope I responded in time. Woulda got it last night, if not for the ice build-up on me sat dish...grrrrrrr...even the low tech prob's hit me hard, can't get to it cuz it's on the roof (sings "up on the roof").

Hope all's well witcha, Pete. It does seem a bit last minute, but I'm sure we could meet up if the weather gets better (yesterday was the freezing rain & I was stuck with my unalligned sleery truck).

Philby - Just got your email, will be calling on my way through. I'm plenty worried about the weather, but according to a friend in Belington, you're supposed to have mid 40's or so and rainy for the next couple of days, after this freezing stuff blows through. We got it yesterday and the night before. I'm not looking forward to driving across the country behind it. Do you know if the route on I-64 through Kentucky will keep me away from the roughest of the mountain country? The only reasonably flat route I know of is I-20 across and up either 95 or 81, both are the long way around. I'd like to stay off the worst of the mountains, if possible, this time of year. Never been through there though so I don't know what the territory is like.

Was just getting on here to post again anyway, I'll be offline in a few minutes, 6:45AM Central, anything else posted I won't see it till tomorrow night probably, should be oin the road in an hour or so, still have a few things to do aroound the house before I pull out.

Man ,if he's gonna spend the nite over in your all sector, hes' gonna have to haul ass. I look for him to pass through Charleston around 9 PM.Ive driven that drive in 12 but man , I was doin 90-100 mph back to Jackson and he's a good HR from There.Has anyone heard from him?
