Yous sit there all day watching a still image!
Seriously though although its not a major thing with screen burns it's not a good idea to leave any image on any screen for an extended period.

Hows the music coming along?

Sentient Paradox wrote:No! No! It's not a repeating episode....
It's a frozen frame. It hasn't moved in a day and a half.

Sentient Paradox wrote:I'm just curious how wide spread this is when it happens. TV land channel has been frozen on the same frame for twenty four hours here. Andy and Barney have been arresting Wilber the town drunk since last night. They must have told him to "freeze!" and he did!

Just curious if anyone else is seeing this. I'm wondering if, when it happens here, how many it actually affects.

Are you seeing it where you are?

I know. It's a weird thing to be curious about, but I've always wondered.

Hey Sentient, the frozen frame happens on occasion to everybody and most of the time is not weather related, it reminds me of my computer when it crashes, with the computer we can always reboot it, with the TV we are at the mercy of the cable provider.

Since I switched to digital cable it has been a regular occurrance, sometimes I hear the sound while the screen is stuck, some other times there is no sound while the scene plays out, so much for advanced technology.

Be well.

A still scene of Mayberry is better than almost any full episode of almost any other TV show in history. One time I was having some work done on my car at Midas. They had a television set there and had Leave It To Beaver on. I noticed for the first time how many times somebody on the show mentions the name Beaver. It's like every other sentence. Just for fun the next full episode that I saw I counted how many times "beaver" was said. It was 51 times!! Ward could be in Beaver's room and says "Beaver" in almost every sentence. Could you imagine if people talked like that to each other? It's insane. Later...

Yea, Bob. It's quite crazy, Bob. You like pizza, Bob? Bob, don't turn your back when I talk to you... Bob.

Yea.
