I'm insulted. First of all, Cblake or whatever your name is, you either need you grow up, or stop being a troll. It doesn't make you cool.

I'm a Christian, and you claim to be, too, so I'm going to lend some advice on how you might act like one. First of all, we are called as Christians to be like Christ. Ask yourself, "Am I being Christ-like right now?" when you post such anger-inspired things here. If someone insults you, don't lash out. Turn the other cheek. This is one of the most basic philosophies of the faith. Further, you don't need to say "I forgive you," especially if you don't mean it. Your reactions and your words aren't lining up.

Don't get me wrong. If you are indeed a follower of Christ, then I understand you have good intentions, but don't dare adopt elitism just because you think you're right. Did Christ come to the earth in all His glory and power? No. He came as a poor man, and lived as a servant to His fellow men. Shouldn't you follow in His example? Don't worry about the splinter of wood in your brother's eye until you've taken care of the plank in your own. In other words, don't judge anyone. The fact that they don't believe what you do is not cause for you to dissociate yourself from them. It should be quite the opposite. You should go out of your way to be a friend to the world, regardless of whether they welcome your ideas or spit on your face. I know that's hard to do, but that's what we're called to do.

For fear of this post becoming tl;dr, I'll stop here. Please take this into consideration. Thanks.

Oh hell here we go again.
Dude, although I would agree with you on most points. It was pointed out that this poor soul is rather simple minded, as if it werent blatently obvious.
Please let it go.

I'm not trying to start a debate, but it's not going to get better if responses like that keep being made. I'm totally serious, and it's offensive to be written off as though I'm a whiner. I made a mistake by not addressing the other side of the problem in this thread, too. For the lack of respect you guys are all showing to others here, I don't know how much respect I can give you all anymore. It's understandable that some people are annoying. It happens, but deal with it more appropriately. This is turning into nothing more than petty bullying, and it's getting old.

Man you are breaking my heart.
I tried to get you to let it be, because it was silly, and a waste of energy to start with. Including my own participation. But if you must be offended then I guess you might as well be offened all by your lonesome.

. . .

And so will I be then. It's okay if that person isn't particularly bright. It would be horrible for me to sit idly by and allow him to continue in pseudo-faith. Whether my attempt at getting him to understand makes a difference, that's not for me to decide, but at least I made the effort, and to me that was important. Yes, it may well have been in vain, I know.

So true. I hate that about American ideals. We've got the rich saying, "I got mine working hard. Whether or not you get yours isn't my problem. I have no obligation to help you." It's messed up in a huge way.

Hayden, you universalized what I was saying though. No one has the right to judge anyone else just because they see the world differently. I was just trying to point out the hypocrisy of Christians acting high and mighty above non-Christians.

Well lads, sorry bout this, but since I've got a drop of Irish blood in me, I have to say I'm well, just a drop better than most of you.

Don't worry, Jesus died for the non-Irish too..

Haha, way to take the seriousness away from this topic. Still, I guess things needed to lighten up a bit.

Lemme just say from personal experience that arguing about religion/politics/personal beliefs over the internet on a public forum accomplishes nothing. It just causes more people to start running their mouths in a discussion they have no business being in.

Keep these arguments and debates private.
