Your phrasing is great. Sounds tight. I just wish it didn't repeat for the first minute and a half. At 3:05, I think the transition was a bit weird.
I like it. It's soothing.

Yeah like the others, I like the motif. HOWEVER, (ya knew that was comin right? ). You kept the drums in 2 bar sequence patterns the whole way through , I wanted to here them change up to 1 bar patterns when the gtr mood changed. It made those parts feel too laggy. Another thing that woulda been really cool is when in that slow swing time of 6/8 12/8 or just slow 2/4 shuffle is to "straighten out" the time sig with just drums a bass in places creating a simulated "RUSH"..MAN , I felt that several places, like when the gtr mood would change..Use that to introduce the new "feel"...But , yeah as far the music content, I like. Its different.

EDDY, I'm listening to it as I type, as usual. Everything so far seems panned far left.

It's got some cool tones that compliment each other well. Nice jazzy mellow rhythm. Nice touch on the fretboard, man. I wasn't too crazy about the end, & was left hoping for something a bit more melodic, but it'd sure make nice album filler, or maybe used as an intro or a transition piece between songs. And (of course) it needs bass, but you knew that already.

Nice work & a good quality recording.

Thanks Pholbymon, its all left because at the time the recording was done I had all my recording stuff rigded wrong. I figured that out, and now I am recording in stero. All of the opinions I have been getting have been great. I am going to take all this and work on a new version of this song. I would like to heare moore from the drum coore. thanks to all.

Hello Eddy,
I am going through all three of your songs, here in Sussex England.
My favourite is 'Soul Slide', which is playing as we speak.
I like the relentless drive and dungachugga backing... and yes probably prefer it to 'Ah' which you asked for thoughts on... but 'Ah' is playing again now as I write.
I most like the sporadic halts on that high note with a major third or something... I might have the chord wrong as I am no technician.

Recording is so hard isn't it Eddy... I mean to be getting all the technical bits right like pushing the right buttons, but as soon as it's running switching your brian back into its inspired mode to play the instrument.
I guess if I had someone to press the right buttons for me it would help!

I have three or four songs of mine on my profile too; you are very welcome listen and comment if you like to Eddy?
Cheers from across the pond,
Mark D Phillips...............

Hey,
Ive never used a machine but I know theres some out there that you can actually "Play". If this is one of them, I would suggest not even using it AS a machine and just live track the thing directly on to the multi tracker. Using 4 trks, you put HH /RC and SD on 1, BD on the 2, SD and TOM fills on 3 , Cym Crsh on 4. High lite each track box from beginning to end with your mouse and "insert" an empty track. That way you dont have to worry about startin and stoppin.Doing it this way , you can go back and ADD anything ya want inbetween the other parts. That way , your tracks will have a live feel. Be sure and get down what your bass track will be first (If ya can)Of course, you can go back and change BD and bass patterns later by punchin IN or just highliting the part and erasing it to take it out.....IF you dont have THAT kind of machine , I would suggest an OLD keyboard workstation like the Ensoniq SQ1 (Ive got) or Yamaha SY55 like Howlin J has.The drum ROMS are great , sound real , and the technology is EASY and common sense based.(before the FREAKIN techys got ahold this crap.. )
That way your "drumming" will be touch sensitive, more creative , with drum mapping for the keys , you can put any sound on any key and its real EASY to edit all the ROMS (in MUSICIAN TALK not this computer horseshit)and make them YOUR user bank.Youve got 1000's of possiblitys with latin precussion , conga, steel drums etc.

Nice track. Liked it. As mentioned before, coulda used a ripping short lead on the ending. Kinda reminded a little of Stevie V. Good recording. Looking forward to hearing what you're going to do with it.
