"Fretwork" commented on my "Joe Walsh" posting that he thought I should cover RMW...I added an old version on my page (down near the bottom of the songlist)

I like it. Nice classic blues beat. The vocal effect is nice as well. Which one is it, the high or the low pass filter?
Ooo wah waaaah wah.. nice 8)

Dax,
Your stuff is always good, but I don't particularly like the piano in Rockey Mt. Way.
I still like Brothers in Arms the best!
Got any Christmas tunes?
Cheers!
HJ

Good job dajax, this is the third song that you've posted that I have covered the other two are Kashmere and wild horses but your recording sound quality is better then mine (no surprise here) although when we performe these tune live they come out much better.

Man loved that, morphed Joe Walsh into George Thorogood. I like that better then the original. Excellent stuff Dajax.

I don't know what you're talking about FW...I listened to the bluegrassy version of Black Dog, and the sound quality is excellent!

No filters...just put my Tech 21 Sansamp (original one with the 8 mini switches) between the mic and the board. My buddy doing the singing HATES HATES HATES that sound during the verse, and said to never play it for anyone
P.S. the slide guitar is going through the same pedal as the vocals

I like the intro piano part, interesting I have been playing this song as soon as I heard it back in 72, I have had the slide part down, I just resently received a talk box and am going back to my old timer roots, we are going to rock the dock Yeah Baby!

Cool stuff with the talk box J. I wish I had one when I recorded the instruments on this back around '91. When I listen to this now, I wish I had of learned the slide in open E like Joe plays it. Did you check out the clip from The midnight special (see below) Joe's running a Les Paul custom through a blackface Fender Super, and the tone is great!

Dajax, that is really cool. I haven't seen this before, it is interesting how he plays with the slide on his middle finger. I also play with the slide on my middle finger so I can play a chord. I found this really cool slide, it is brass coated and a concaved shape it really helps in muting unwanted notes.
in this vid. It was interesting how one of those keyboard players was also playing an Arp synth. in the place where he played the Talk box org.
Joe Walsh is very comical between songs I saw him in the early 90's he's really a hilarious guy! that is a beautiful Les Paul I wonder what it would be worth today, thanks.

I saw Joe with the James Gang in '71 when they were touring the Rides Again album. I was totally blown away, they were super tight, and the echoplex stuff had me doing a double take when it started in.
