Yes, the Axle Rose album is apparently finally shipping on the 23rd.

Hit up the Guns n Roses myspace page, and check out the song "Better".
Crappy intro, so give it about 25 seconds or so... but then, in my humble opinion, it gets pretty good.
I like the title track too, but I havent made it past those two songs yet to comment any further.

(I have no vested interest in this, but I'm compelled to pass along stuff that I think is pretty good. )

Holy nutty! I never thought about it or cared but... BUT. I'm listening now. The 3rd track "better" is freakin' awesome!!!! I had 0 expectations. Man a lot of this is really great. Man. MAN!

DUDE I dare anybody to go to track 4 "street of dreams" and listen from 2:01 - 2:17. I am blown away. He has all the great if annoying AXLisms plus some surprises. Some pure vox too. Som crazy highs and fat lows.

I'm on track 5 the intro is so classy and surprising. His vox are high!

It has a "digging in the dirt" peter gabriel intro feel. Then fatness comes in .

I can see those looking for the classic 'Guns n Roses' sound being disappointed or maybe disliking a lot of it, but those going into it with an open mind will probably be engaged for quite awhile.

You know, I kind of get this feeling that some of these tracks are going to end up on non-classic rock/non-hard rock radio stations.
You know the type... not really 'hip hop' stations, but 'mix' stations. Top 40, etc.

I can see that too. His voice sounds a LOT better than I thought it would.

Plus a Great guitar solo over some tastey piano/orchestra.

I reckon I'll be buying this album when it gets to the store.

I'm totally serious. I'm whipped. I had no intentions of even paying attention much less getting into it. Me liking it is totally involuntary based on what I heard and was blown away by. I DON'T like him. But man I really like this music.

Yes, it should be Axl and not labelled Guns N Roses. I do really like a lot of it though.
It isn't 'rockin' enough for me in general, but to 'me', there is a bunch of good stuff there.

They'll never make a profit off of this album, but I'm going to stick my neck out and predict it will sell millions.

Yeah the intro to better sucks. Really good song, didn't need to yngwie style wanking on the bridges IMO, but Axl really opened up a vocal shitstorm around the 3:00 mark, holy sh*t!

They had played the title track on the radio here the other day and I was completely underwhelmed and really wrote it off.. Thanks for posting this, seems there is some value to this after all..
