Its windy and in the nineties ( actually, it is close to 100 ) here and as you all probably know there has been a few fires burning. :? I had to take a detour home last night. Ugh, its supposed to cool down to the 70s tomorrow. I'm making fried chicken, fried cabbage and mashed potatoes for dinner...hope the house don't get too hot.

Gittin' friggin' cold here too, Chippy.
(gaw' damn Al G. and his friggin' global warmin') :?
Anyways, I guess it's time to dig out the ol' ice scates, cross country skies, and fix the carb on the snow blower.
Thanks for the reminder,
HJ

Chilly, windy & dribbly here. Ick. I miss fishing in my shorts!

Got the ol' wood stove fired up now, after band practice today. Just got home & fired it up. It's chilly in here, too.

Hate the cold!

I am from Ohio and I've done those parades. I am just glad that I was never a majorette and suffer getting my legs hit with snow balls.

Our first day of minus 2 if the deck thermo is correct this morning? I hate the cold and have never understood anyone who likes the fall!

Rebirth is spring - Dead leaves blowing in 40 mph winds surely has to be death no?

Playing in a parade in + 1
I'd never keep hold of my sticks

Just imagine marching for an hour & 1/2 holding that horn or sax to your lips in 10-15 mph winds, fusing it to your lips in -1 degree weather. That, my friends, was why I didn't bother with the band OR the jockhood (not into the "cold cup syndrome" either) as a teenager. I was just too smart for all that. (Well, there's that & my irrational fear of uniforms!)

We are freezin to death down here in Houston, its not supposed to even make the 70s today 40degrees last nite 68 for a high today I love the cold, hell I wear shorts from the end of Jan. to the end of Nov. average winter cold temp here is the upper 30s.
Now summertime heat and humidity you can cut with a knife now thats a hole other story. We have great weather here 6 months out of the year.
2 cool months and 4 months it is hot as f**k.

 You love the cold....
My hands go blue even thinking about being cold. Actually that's true about me too I get severe skin problems in cold weather, especially when working outside.

Plus with the leaves gone I can see all of my neighbors :? .
