Not only am I currently with my band, The Casca Method, but now I'm planning on starting up another band with an old friend of mine, hahaha

Why not??? I've got myself in 2 seriously working bands... Now have 2 gigs with each this month and starting in January, there won't be a weekend that I'm not onstage!

Yeah, I just like the idea of having a backup, just in case one of the bands fails, I'll still have the other.

Ryan, at one time I played in 4 bands at a time (as well as running an open mic os Sunday nights, usually an off night for the bands), but admittedly none of them were working a lot. I got fired from one b/c of scheduling prob's & for not giving them the #1 priority that they wanted (& deserved). I eventually dropped two of the remainder for various reasons.

There's one thing to remember, esp since your voice is your instrument. For most of your audiences, YOU, the singer, are the representative, the voice & the face of the band. Can you fit both in a real-life schedule? Can you keep things fair between the two acts as scheduling prob's invariably arise?

If your bands were both working two shows per week, meaning you were singing 4, would your voice hold up for it, indefinitely?

I'm certainly not telling you not to do it, but there are things that you should consider when joining more than one band.

If I were to do this again (& I'm trying to, believe me!) I would make sure that everyone knows which band is my #1 priority.

I find being in two GIGGING bands a difficult proposition. Conflicts are almost sure to develop when scheduling happens. Personally I prefer to be in one band. If you're not gigging it really doesn't matter how many bands you're in. Later...

Yep I'm with Bob. I'm in no gigging bands but I constantly have projects. I have 6 projects right now. I like working with many different projects.

Hello BandMix Gang! 43 year old drummer very new to Virginia looking for pro bands hiring sit-in drummers... Any good leads or "Hot Spots" I can check out to get my name out there? Any help would be GREAT!

Dunno squiddly dot about Fredericksburg, but I'll bet there's lots more going on there than there is here in Martiansburg, WV.
