voting myths -

My STICKMASTER buddy was convicted of a felony (B&E, grand larceny)back in the early '70's, & he swears that he cannot vote because of it. Evidently, this is not necessarily true, but it's probably too late for him to address it & vote now, since he's passed the registration deadlines. He hasn't taken the time to check it out. There are only two states that deny felons the right to vote? I didn't know that, myself. It evidently depends on the nature of the felony, in other states. If it were me, I think I'd check into it a bit more, & I don't think he has.

There are pages of mythbusters out there, many are state specific -

Personally, if I were king of the world, all info concerning the outcome of this election would have to wait until the election was over, nationwide. Then the nation would be able to get a state by state tally on Wed morning to see who wins.

It must be rather disheartening to those western states' voters to hear how any particular candidate is faring in the eastern states, when they haven't even yet had a chance to vote, in some cases. It must be discouraging to them if they're hearing that the election is basically over before their own state is tallied up.
