This was hysterical, Family Guy spoofed McCain and Palin, it was great, I won't say what as not to ruin it. They spoke about how much controversy it stirred up on TV. Personally I found it just funny.
*Sorry about getting off the subject of music, just thought that was post worthy.

So he just said that the Nazi's would support McCain and Palin? I think that's quite a stretch and Seth McFarlane is just looking for any way to give the republicans a bad name, cause he knows that most kids/teens today watch Family Guy.
There was another episode where Brian (The dog) calls Reagan a RAPIST...Where did THAT come from?!
He drops these little hits against the republicans, hoping that the ignorant teens will believe this info he's giving.
I wanna see him do a joke about Obama...I bet we will never see one.
I think he should do a joke about how Obama was born and raised in Kenya, and therefore is not qualified to be President:

...which explains why Obama said he doesn't believe in our Pledge of Allegiance, and doesn't place his hand over his heart while it's being recited.
Sorry for the novel, but people need to open up their eyes and start voting smart.

Yes, how could I miss the Family Guy episode when it is all over the news. I don't have a problem with this stuff. You expect it from MTV stype programs, but what is amazing is how obvious the rest of the media is about this. That seems unfair, considering the majority of the media consider themselves liberal democrats. It skews the truth to not have many options for other opinions, and other humor. Which of course we see little of, because they love Obama and I suppose it would also be considered racism, ridiculously, were any of the comics to go hard after Obama like they do Republicans, particularly Palin.
Ryan,
I don't know what his deal is about the pledge, maybe he just forgot? Doubtful. You don't forget when you see everyone else with their hands on their hearts.
Likely it is a political statement, like the flag pin thing.
He says it is not that he does not wear flag pins occasionally, but he is against politicians wearing it like a badge of honor, as if wearing the pin makes them patriotic. So he wears one when he feels like it, I guess, to not be pidgeonholed, into "having" to wear one, and that being a litmus test for patriotism.
There may be some merit to that little experiment, but with Obama's connections and history, it comes off as unpatriotic. Particularly, along with his not putting his hand over his heart for the pledge.
He's the younger guy, representing change, but he kinda just seems like a reworking of the anarchistic 60's radical. It makes sense to me why Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright are close to him, and helped start his career and mold him. They saw something in him. He could be a figurehead for bringing radicalism into power. Let's get behind this guy. He understands our views. He'll shake things up again.
I don't think most Americans want things shaken up to that degree.
They just want a sound economy and a plan for securing it into the future, like renewable energies and lessening our dependence on foreign oil.
The economy will likely do McCain in, but Obama's radical connections and socialistic views, may find McCain with a last minute surge. Barring something incredible, Obama appears to be headed for victory.
"It's the economy stupid."
That was James Carville's now famous line, coined to remind Clinton campaign workers to stay on point. It worked.
But it's ALWAYS been about the economy.
Churchill helped England not only survive, but win a world war. But wars cause a stale economy in the aftermath, and the English citizens sent the great man packing, almost immediately.
Let's hope whoever the next president is, he puts our interests first and works hard to implement the best solutions for guiding us into the future.
No civilization has maintained it's status forever. All great civilizations have eventually fallen, and sometimes from division and weakness within.
I hope that is not our fate.
I hope the next leader does not help this become our fate.

I think the joke was made because like the Nazi's, Republicans put the party first before the country.
