The rankings listed are for "Unsigned" bands, of course.
I think the Street Team campaign has helped with this, but we are pretty stoked about the rankings. Especially the last one. It is the first time we cracked the TOP-10 of Southern Rock bands in ALL the United States!
This exposure (on MySpace) is important to us, because MySpace is positioning themselves to be the #1 go-to place for Music downloads and band exposure.
With the deals they have inked with Labels, and the ones they are completing, MySpace expects to surpass iTunes for the largest available catalog of music online.
iTunes is the largest music retailer in the USA, ahead of even WalMart.
MySpace has positioned themselves to be one of the most important sites ever, where music and bands are concerned. So love it or hate it, MySpace is a very important place to have a substantial presence.
Our hard work is paying off!

You can only gain high market awareness if you've got something worth marketing. In music it starts with superior musicianship. Craig's involved with something that is truly outstanding. There's no substitute for BEING GOOD at anything. I have a very high opinion of the muscianship of the best Southern Rock bands. Anybody that can EARN their way up on these lists by definition is doing a GREAT JOB. Thanks Craig for sharing this with us. This should be an inspiration for any aspiring band in any genre of music. Wow. Thanks very much guys.
I enjoy sharing our band's successes as well as reading of everyone else's, cause that's part of this community... we've all encouraged one another, and probably helped each other stay at it, and it seems it is paying off for lots of us, and surely more to come!
