Thats nice (workin girls), it's art but I hate to see it hung on a wall...
I worked at a mars music for a stint in torrance, ca and a guy I worked with their had 49 different les pauls. If I was gonna have 49gtrs I would have several les pauls but not all! Part of the beauty is all the different sounds! (He'd always say that each les paul sounded different in response... so true)
Gears disease I tell ya... gotta love it.

I'll tell ya what g!, and I'm sure this is true for just about every gtr player here... I wouldn't trade my main guitar for damn near anything. For me
that would be my jem... everyone who plays it says the same thing:

"at first I didn't like it cause of looks, but once I played it and heard the sound..."

I love guitars and there's a long list I wanna add to my collection... but that main guitar - even if I bought the exact same gtr again - it wouldn't be the same as 'that one'.

Amen !!

I was feeling the same way g! is....

I use mainly 1 bass and 1 guitar ALL of the time just because after a while it becomes a part of you...the feel, sound and comfort. It's great not having to "peek" as often on the neck when playing.

Well guys I unfortunatley inherited my first two guitars when my older brother died in 1970. My 59 junior and my 66 355. I was then bitten by the bug and fortunatly started collecting in the seventies and eighties. That was when an honest working man could afford a vintage guitar. Today I Scan ebay and guitar shows every day and look to find that hiiden jem but with so called collectors who can't play a goddamned note buying all of the vintage wood for investment purpose it has taken away the real reasons these fine instruments were made. Thats why I really take pride in my collection and use all of them. Wall hangers are not my bag. Each guitar produces a unique sound and when you're intune with it it really opens up opportunities in the studio. As far as my best players I would have to say its a threesome. My 59 junior, the 66 355 with the pafs is just out of this world, and then my 66 sg special with the p-90s is incredeble. Those are my main stage guitars and the also the steinberger with the active electronics and trans trem. There is no comparison when it comes to playing whammy bar stuff. However it can't hold a candle when it comes to tone to the gibbys. PEACE

I guess my best sound comes from my tele(pic) or my es295. The 295 has p90s and I love them but it's like playing a 2x4.

Versatility would go to my jem (is the closest I've ever heard form 'paul to strat' bar none) -with that whole 5way switch tapping the two buckers...

Can't beat a les paul tho... even if it does ruin your back!

hate the active p/u's tho(except for shred)... prefer a natural alnico magnet.
