I've been playing on Dean basses since 1983. I still have my first Dean Bel Aire 4 string.

1983 Dean Bel Aire 4 string - Metalic red
1996 Dean Edge 1 4 string - Trans Black
2001 Dean Performer Acoustic 4 string
2004 Dean Edge 1 5 string - Metalic Red
2006 Dean Edge Pro 5 stirng - Tiger Eye

Adding a standup Double Bass and a 2007 Dean Hardtail 5 string in the next couple of months. Tax write off for 2007

Amps:
Hartke 3500
QSC 850 (slave amp)
Looking at adding a Genz Benz or Ampeg for 2007,
or a second Hartke for backup

Cabs:
Hartke 4x10
Laney 4X12
Madison 2x15

My main setup is the Hartke 3500 with the 2x15 and 4x10 cabs. More than enough for most stages. For those times I require huge sound, I slave the QSC (2x15 and 4x12) from the Hartke (4x10). But that is overkill for almost everything. For small events or tight quarters, the Hartke with the 4x10 is plenty. I always use a DI to the board.

I also have a Montana (Kaman) Acoustic 6 string that I run through a Peavey Musician when I'm composing/recording. And a couple of yamaha keyboards for recording.

Man, checked it out, it has to be an obsession, plus you have to be single because there is no way a wife will let you blow that many dollars.

Me, I have a Fender Jazz Special Bass, a Carvin 5 string bass, a Gibson Les Paul, 2 Yamaha Acoustics, and 1 Carvin 12 string Acoustic and that is more than I really need.

It's a pain to try to keep them all tuned, dust free and polished but if I just keep them in their cases, I tend not to play them as often as I do when I can just reach over and start strumming.

It's not the money, it's that no woman would allow her home to be used as a skulls & guitar museum! LOL! Having lived with an avid guitarist, I learned to always get an apartment or house with at least one extra bedroom to set aside as the guitar room.
