I know most of you have seen me refer to the song we are doing for Vicki.
Well, here we go. At practice last night she told us she was scheduling studio time for us to record her song with her.
We keep telling her to have some patience and lets nail it down perfect before going to record. But she insists that we go. So she is going to pay the studio time, and drag the four of us by our heels into the studio.
Those of you who do, pray for us. Those who dont, cross those fingers and wish us luck!

Sweet man!!

You should always be happy about free studio time Sans..It's a great learning experience. Have 'em mic up your Carvin man! With those tubes, the engineer should love it.

Don't be intimidated by it. They'll walk you through the process step by step. Those guys know a lot of tricks dude. You'll be fine.

Good luck to you guys.

Peace!

George, DOnt be worried about playing your amp super loud. Tone is not about volume find a nice spot where the amp responds well to your touch and use that for recording.

I always stick an SM 57 up in the grill of my amp, sometimes we put a second condenser mic around 10-20 feet away, in the mix we place one to the right and one to the left, gets a real full sound. Also if you tell an engineer all this he will know that you kinda know what you are doing.

Have fun and remember to breath and relax, I love recording we did some more last night at our bassists studio. We are recording some new original material.

Heres Picture of my amp miced at the house, there is another mic about 20 ft away, but I didnt get it in the picture.

Good Luck and let us hear the results, youve been playing better and better everytime I hear something new.

Thanks again for the advice.
I have thrown some reverb off the amp into the solo mix with just a touch of delay through the loop. I think you guys will appreciate the tone.
I dont know when I will be able to put it on the BM. But you know I will asap.
We are only going to focus on, and do this one song this time out.
I,m a little freaky on all this. God willing it'll work out ok.
