Posted: Wed Sep 24, 2008 9:55 pmOkay, I know you're new, so I'm here to help you a bit. There are some things that you REALLY need to know about this site.
1) If you are a free member, you cannot use the email in here to contact anyone. (If you complain about this, see #8 below) You may respond to emails from ppl that paid the fee & sent you something, but you cannot initiate contact.
2) If you post a request for musicians or bands your post will be removed from the forum with no explanation. The reason is that these guys want your ad to do the talking for you. Your ad is your profile, btw. These forums are for asking & answering questions, & talking about the music biz.
3) If you try to sell your stuff, do it in the Musician Gear & Tech Discussion section in the forum index. Heaven help you if you're trying to sell CD's or an ad site or something like that. It's okay if you're selling an amp or stuff, though. Ppl will come down on you for this if you do it wrong.
4) If your profile isn't filled out correctly, someone will tell you to fix it.
5) If you don't have music posted in your profile, someone will tell you to fix it.
6) If you haven't any grasp of the English language, someone will call you on it.
7) If you are too offensive, your post will likely be removed, or someone will call you on it.
8 ) If you whine, someone will tell you to stop it. They will not be kind when they do this.
9) Sometimes your post will be removed for no apparent reason. Accept it & move on, or it will be considered whining, & someone will call you on it.
10) If you're dumb enough to post your telephone number, I will personally call you every night at 4 AM your local time & ask you for money until you remove it. If the powers that be see it 1st, though, they'll most likely remove your post.
