Unfortunately we do not cover transportation....unless your a big name band...??? Really tho there is no pay for this gig...they are Charity events. We are looking for bands preferrably in the area..or within a few hours surrounding it. We have registered a few bands already but are looking for more. We do have a couple of venues, a couple outdoors. One will be blended with a Dukes Harley Davidson Draw. The venue of course we hope is Dukes Harley Davidson. One of the other venues is an outside bash on private property.....gonna be a good one!! If you are looking to promote your band and are what we are looking for, than this is a great avenue for your exposure. Get in touch if your interested....and if your too far away...well...man....keep in touch anyway!!

how about a "charity" event for Artist' and bands who give their time and talents away, and spend money doing it?

Lars Ulrich would show up and suck all the charity money up for himself, and then start bitching about people downloading 30 year old metallica songs.
Soooo True!!

I know what you mean....Practically everyone I know has a band and is a musician. It can be pretty costly to offer your time, energy/talent and equipment. Please don't think that I am ignorant....I know more than you think I do. I have already signed a few bands for next year. sometimes it isn't about exposure...sometimes it's simply to help a good cause...has anyone ever helped a good cause with out some type of cost to themselves? If you are not into doing a spot for Charity...that's cool..no probs. But please don't think that I an ignorant to your statement. It's just all about helping out little kids...and having fun doing it...got to look on the bright side
And the lars statement...funny...so true!! What did you think of the new Metallica anyway?? You guys have an awesome day!!

Welcome to the forum, Liana. Good luck with your show. It's a bit far for me to go, but I'd probably do it if I were closer. I try to do a few benefits every year. It makes me look like the caring person I'm not in real life...LOL
Thanks!

Thanks for the warm welcome...I so appreciate that! Awwww...that is so sweet of you! Wish you could....and I think that it is great that you do a few spots for charity to make you look like the caring guy...that you claim you are other wise....not....(laughed my ass off by the way!!) What kind of music do you play? Would be interested in hearing it sometime. Can I go to your profile and hear your band from here? Thanks again!

Sure you can! I have music posted, but I better warn you - once you hear it you'll be heartbroken that I can't make it & then you'll prolly wanna send me lotsa money to come & play at your charity event, cuz I'm so freakin' awesome & gorgeous. Oh, & did I mention that I'm also humble?
You should contact this guy -

I dunno how far Windsor is from Chatham, cuz I am geographically challenged, but he's good, & I'd recommend him.
Glad to have you here. I like almost anyone that responds to me, cuz no one talks to me in my home town. I know it's cuz they're just jealous of my overall wonderfulness.
Best of luck with your charity. Make lotsa money & then send some to me.

My dear, if you contact me here, I'll be glad to send you my email addy. I can't post it here cuz I'd just be inundated with personal requests for my used boxers, you understand. Besides, I'm a tighty whitey kinda guy.
I'd send it to you, but I'm too cheap to be a paying member at this time.
And yeah, I'd love it if you came down to West (by GAWD!) Virginia & talk to ppl for me. Esp ppl like the police, the local judges, & whatnot. I could definitely use a good representative to boost my tarnished rep!
Andrew has been on here for awhile, now. Look up his page & listen to his stuff. You can contact him directly. I never met him personally, but from what I've seen on here, I'd vouch for him.

Just out of curiousity, I was over at the Canukian site, & I noticed that you didn't post this thread over there. What's up with that? Are you trying to get only "real" Americans to play at this thing?
I have nothing of value, so I don't post anything for sale. I'm going to put an album of children's songs together soon, though. I have a few titles already - "Paint Tastes Good," "Chewing On The Dog," "Teasing The Kitty," "Stuff I Found In Daddy's Bottom Drawer," & somewhere I have a live recording of my song "Jelly Bean Soup." (That last one is true, btw)

Phil, man, that was a really nice gesture. Sorry I haven't been able to come on here as often as I want to. Life, the band, new members, university.. you know the deal.
Keep it groovy. Peace.
