Heres some shots from sats show at the Firehouse in Brownsville Tn. This is a 100 seat room. We grossed merch and the door a shade under $1000 for the night. If you are selling merch, one thing we added were the neck beads. We sold them 5 for $1, this was the hottest thing cause we sold all of them we had plus they look good on everyones neck. Also had Glow Sticks. Make your gigs a party and make everyone happy and you can be successful.
"Hot Mama" Rachel Baird with bar owner Mary and Sweet Sweet Connie The Merch Lady
Finalist In The "Hot Mama" contest, I kinda liked the gal Cindy in the AYM shirt, but we measured the crowd with a DB meter and Rachel took it hands down, in fact we didnt need the DB meter the crowd was so crazy!
This is the part I love, When you get a crowd dancing, singing and haveing a good time. It makes it all worth it to me.
This gal should have been in the "Hot Mama" contest, there were quite a few goodlooking women in the house and they said they were there because of our marketing on myspace catering to women. We hope to continue the buzz. If gals like Jessie show up at our gigs we will capture all the guys.
Kevin Byrd and John Wilder singing together again. This is great, we are able to harmonize live without any effort. Weve reduced our volume levels to the point where we hear everything clear as a bell. Also this is the first gig we ever did that I had no complaints about volume. Now to tweak the songlist!
Party Time
Paging Crip, I told you I would get a picture of me eating the guitar. It used to taste like chicken, but sat it tasted like TUNA. I'll let you guys figure that out.
More Cheap Tricks, notice the beads all over the mic stand, we sold 2 gross bags of those things. I just wonder where they all wind up, I got home and some were in my boots!
Great Band Shot, but I put this picture on here to show you the video stuff, notice the camcorder on the table. Also look behind the bass player and see the image on the wall. We have 2 wall projectors tied together. At this point I had Tools Parabola DVD playing. Thats the head on the wall behind our bass player. I have the camera tied to one of the projector units, the one on my side. Our sound man Donn has a remote that controls the projector you see in front of me, he just changes the source on that side and Walla instant live video behind us. He would turn it on us or the crowd. The crowd ate this up, at one point they found the camera and were doing all sorts of crazy stuff on the camera that I cant put on a public forum. Stuff like this can seperate your band from the pack. After the gig we signed autographs for 20 minutes, felt like a Rockstar.
Another band shot, Kevin our singer dug out his old Pink spandex body suit, Im glad he didnt drop the trousers. I lost all my spandex years ago. I dont think Im going back there.
Anyway thanks for looking at our pictures. We have a couple of weeks off from full gigs. But we have a couple of benefits and biker things where we just do a set and dont use all the lights and video. I found a film maker who is going to start shooting gigs and make a documentary of our band.
Have A Great Day!!
