in a recent experience I was thinking about what bandmix could do to expand the functionality of the site. Its extremely frustrating to find a profile you are interested in and not be able to even let the people on the other end know you found and like their stuff.
So what would you think if Bandmix made a "Nudge" function...?
like not even a message or anything just something that notifies the owner of the profile... "so and so digs your stuff" and give an option to the person nudged to either respond or not...
I don't know... would that be cheesy?

Sounds like to me that you REALLY don't want to pay anything for your Bandmix membership. Why don't you hit up somebody for a loan? Then you wouldn't have to "nudge" anybody. Later...

Ach, I don't want to pay to meet people either. It's not uncommon.
IF we could be assured that the meeting would be fruitful, that'd be different.
I vote YES for the "Nudge". LOL

well if the majority of people aren't paid members, I just forsee a bunch of people "nudging" each other with no solution for actually making contact. It's almost comic.

hey I dont wanna pay either, this site just isn't worth the money yet to me! it's too unfiltered and just doesn't do enough preselection for the user. seems like I would have to spend way too mush time doing weeding that should already have been taken care of.

Geeez..... I've always had a member of my band replaced in no time flat without laying out a single cent! Use your noggin. There are plenty of local sites that allow you to post up all different classifieds for absolutely nothing...nada....zilch... you will get a more promising result when you post in LOCAL craigslist, and other classifieds! So far I have replaced 4 drummers 3 bassists and 3 singers without missing a beat! It also helps to get the hell out to the clubs where maybe 4 or 5 bands are playing the same night... believe it or not, that attracts a lot of musicians who are scoping out band members themselves! I'm sorry... I find it demeaning and ridiculous to have to shell out $$$ just to find someone with similar interests....it's not a freakin' dating site for cripes sake!!
