No need for a band because there isn't going to be a wedding. Unless you count some poor soul's money and the scammer's bank account.

What a shame. There's no wedding bands or DJ's available in Ohio for Anna Jimmy. I guess the bit*h is sh*t out of luck.

I guess I'm just F'in stupid I dont get it. Unless they are charging you a grand a minuet on the tele. Where's the scam?

I think that they will overpay or have someone that "owes" them money send all the money they owe to whomever they "hire" and that you deposit the total and then you send the balance to them. You have deposited a bad check and sent out one of your own minus what you would charge for the service. You therefore are now out a lot of money. That is the way MOST of these scams work.

Does any of this make any sense?

You'll see a sticky thread on the front page "Jude Michael by Any other Name" I think is the thread title. This is the same scam, different name. I've gotten a couple of these, soon as I see the horrible English I know it's a scam. Never mind the international number or the fact that they want to hire a BAND while I'm actually looking to join one...or the fact that I live over 1000 miles away from Connecticut, which is where one "wedding" was supposedly located...

This is the same scam, the Jude Michael name got a bad reputation fast, so they started just inserting a different name. Robin pretty much described the monetary swindle.

Wow, I see. But who would be stupid enough to take a personal check on some overpayment. And then send money to someone whom is supposed to be paying you?

Sounds like a scam to me...who would send money to some old hippie looking guy like that who actually wants you to think that's his real address...
