Going back to the roots with this one, its a Ray Charles written song, Humble pie made it a hit in the 70's with Peter Framton, however the posted version is different from Ray's and Framton's.

What do you think of this version?

I like it, fretwork. You have a good voice for it, too.

Not bad Fret, Works real well. Gotta love the Pie, one of the first "supergroups". They also did a cover of Ray Charles' "Hallelujah, I Love Her So" that rocked.

Thanks guys for taking the time to listen and comments.
Just doing the thing we love.... making music.

Danger I was not aware of another Ray Charles song covered by Humble pie, I'll have to check that out, I like when bands cover other bands material it's interesting to me to see how somebody's song is interpreted by another, this could be subject for a thread all by itself, I.E. who was able to make the best cover, there are a lot of examples out there I wonder if anybody can mention one of them or even few. the one that stands out in my mind is a Who's song titled "Love reign on me" covered by Pearl Jam, I think Pearl Jam did a fantastic job with that song.

"Danger I was not aware of another Ray Charles song covered by Humble pie...."

Rockin' The Fillmore was the Pie album, one of the best live recordings in rock history.

"...the one that stands out in my mind is a Who's song titled "Love reign on me" covered by Pearl Jam, I think Pearl Jam did a fantastic job with that song..."

Pearl Jam does lots of covers very well, even though their original material stands on its own. This makes them a very real band to me.
