They say the quickest way to recovery is admiting you have a problem so here I go.1st I have on more than one occasion cheated on my guitar by playing with other guitars,I have even had threesomes, I constantly break strings from beating on them too much sometimes I dont even clean my guitar after playing with it all nite,then i'll turn around and play with it again the next day dirty I let other people play with my guitar last but not least I have been known to bust a nut please forgive me there I feel better already ok so I was bored.

I too am a guitaraholic; I often play before noon, I often play alone, I've lied to cover up my playing, I've missed work from playing, and I've gone in debt from playing. Most likely I will die with a guitar in my hands.

I spend 8 hours a day playing or doing music-related stuff.

And I had a buddy who died years ago.
We both loved to play, and so they buried him with his guitar. It was pretty cool at his funeral, to see it hanging on his open coffin-lid . . .

I agree I would want to be buried with my guitar.but I would need a bigger coffin I want to take my snowmobile 2

Back in the 80's , I used to practice 24 / 7 on my speed picking, string skipping, classical guitar style, 8 fingered hammering and search n destroy any weakness in my playing.
Now I only practice 4 hours a day with killer finger excersizes that make up for the lack of free time on my guitar.

My name is BRD and I'm a guitaraholic I have no car payment and live in a $20000 dollar mobile home which is 2 years from being paid of, @ 22 years old i'm quit proud that i will be almost debt free by time i'm 24. I hate debt. Yet I currently owe more on guitar gear and pa equitment than my truck is probly worth. Guitaraholic. Yea I'm there!! MUCH to my wife's disaproval.

When I die, I want to have the back of my casket spring-loaded. So when they open it up to do the viewing, my dead body flies out into the crowd, and everyone goes crazy. That's my dream funeral.

Saint Peter will have a flawless Paul waiting for me when I get to the gate.
My Grand Son and Grand Daughter can have my guitars.

I own 7 various guitars from ibanez and schecter. There is a reason im not married. One is just not enough. I love to play with them all, and sometimes i just like to watch.

And how many of you guitaraholics live in your moms basement? Ghost 62?

..sigh... if only I still lived in the parents basement... I'd have so much more gear!

Just never, ever "abuse" your guitar.

You can "abuse" your wife, but never "abuse" your guitar. lol
